The Villain Reborn as Game's Final Boss

Chapter 387: Deal [11]

Still, he had to do something drastic or else the fight would drag on with no end to it.

Maybe—

Arthur’s eyes widened if only slightly as he thought of a ridiculous solution to his current predicament.

But the thought didn’t last long as Arthur quickly discarded it from his mind.

It felt impossible to achieve and he had never heard of anything like that happening before.

Well... that couldn’t be considered as a benchmark either because an Immortal going solo against a Sovereign who very well might have been a being of Divine rank was simply unheard of.

Still, the more Arthur thought about it, the more his earlier idea felt believable to him, if only a little.

Arthur’s current situation was far from fair.

He was forced to fight in a foreign domain, limiting the output of his mana as well as the options available at his disposal.

At the same time, the parasite was targeting Kael and not him.

Arthur could have used different tactics if he had been the target, but clearly he wasn’t.

And that meant, if he tried something to make the parasite chase him or indulge it in a game of cat and mouse... that would end up being counterproductive, as the parasite would simply deal with Kael without sparing him any sort of attention.

Everything seemed like an impossible situation to solve, yet Arthur was determined to end the battle or at least bring it to a stalemate, so that he could protect Kael in a better way.

Closing his eyes, Arthur strengthened the bond with each of his clones and witnessed the battles that they were facing in a clearer way.

All of his clones were spread far and wide, and the distance between each of them felt so vast that crossing it seemed nearly impossible.

Diana should have used some sort of space element in her domain to manipulate the space around him in such a twisted way.

Still, no matter how big the distance between them was, at the end, all of them were Arthur’s clones and thus an extension of himself.

While being engaged in a non-stop brutal battle, Arthur hadn’t been able to do much, but now that the enemy had made the mistake of letting him breathe for a few moments, Arthur used all of his time to channel mana through his core in a more creative way.

If Diana had twisted the space to isolate him, then he would use her own tactics against her.

Channelling huge amounts of mana through the cores of every clone out there, Arthur focused all his energy on a single thought... on a single idea that would, if played rightly, turn the situation in his favour or at the very least make it a fair ground for both sides.

Since the start of his battle against the parasite, Arthur had noticed one crucial detail, and it was only now that he was going to exploit that very detail.

Diana, despite being able to produce a greater output of power, had a very fragile domain, or at least that was what Arthur believed.

He may not have fought many Sovereigns in his life, but using his own domain as a reference, Arthur had an instinctive feeling that Diana didn’t enjoy much control over her domain.

The fact that she had to fuse with it to use a part of its capabilities was a proof in itself.

Arthur didn’t think that Diana lacked the expertise to control a domain; on the contrary... he felt that her knowledge with regards to the use of a Domain might have very well been of a far higher level compared to many other Sovereigns who were currently alive in Jutan.

It was her body that was being the limiting factor in the parasite’s ability to control the domain and make it her own.

She had the knowledge but not the medium to properly channel her powers—

No, that wasn’t quite right.

The body of an eighteen-year-old girl who should have barely been a Silver core was now being used to channel the powers of a Sovereign.

That was proof enough of the little girl’s capabilities, but even that had its limits.

And the parasite was clearly being held back due to them.

So... the solution that he was trying to enact wasn’t as much outrageous as he had considered it before.

Having channelled enough mana through his core, Arthur willed all of his clones to employ one of their most devastating mass-area spells.

The spell being a massive one took a considerable amount of time, as all of his clones made their own individual circuits to channel the spell and employ it in their respective areas.

Diana, having fused with her domain, had noticed the unusual flow of mana around all of Arthur’s clones, but there wasn’t much she could do about it.

She couldn’t stop Arthur’s attack before it was materialised, so the next best thing that she could do was to prepare herself to tank whatever attack her enemy had in store, while at the same time employing a counterattack of her own.

Everything was happening while Arthur’s clones were still busy fighting against the various types of attacks that Diana’s domain was throwing at them.

To deploy a large-scale spell while engaged in such a brutal battle wasn’t easy, but it wasn’t impossible for them either.

After all, every individual who had the guts to take the first step to true godhood and become an Immortal was competent enough to face any situation despite the odds being completely against them.

Seconds turned into a minute, yet the battle raged on.

’I guess it’s time.’

With the spell a moment away from its completion, all of Arthur’s clones tactically retreated, making Diana all the more cautious about Arthur’s next move—

"Descend—Hellspire!"

Arthur roared for the first time, as his mana core churned to fuel the spell that was activated at the same time across several different locations in Diana’s domain.

A massive circuit of mana stretching for a mile or more had formed around each of Arthur’s clones, covering the entirety of Diana’s domain that had earlier felt like an unending trap.

But that wasn’t the end, as the circuit soon channelled the mana supplied to it, and—

BOOOOOOM!

A colossal torrent of fire launched itself before colliding with Diana’s domain from all sides.
