The Villain Reborn as Game's Final Boss

Chapter 191: Kevin Isn’t wrong [1]

"The wound seems to have healed."

Alicia spoke as she inspected Kevin’s stomach.

"Of course it has. And stop behaving like I was stabbed with a knife... It was just a single punch."

Kevin’s frustrated voice was ignored by Alicia as she kept looking at his stomach, which had been bruised some days ago.

As the injury wasn’t lethal, the doctor had advised against using high-level potions... Well, he had banned Alicia from giving Kevin any sort of potion, as that could have a negative impact on his body.

Potions had the best effect only when there was some kind of injury, as all the contents in the potions were used to heal it.

But if the extent of the injury was small, then the potion could have adverse effects on the body, as the excess contents would begin to affect it.

That was why people tried to limit their use and consumed the potions only when they were absolutely necessary.

Well... that was one of the reasons, and the other being the cost of potions.

Each potion, irrespective of the alchemy guild it was bought from, was extremely expensive and not affordable to everyone.

Though the entry of Syma Alchemists’ Guild had lowered the prices of potions all around the world.

The guilds were now trying to lower their prices to their utmost limits, but even after all their reductions, Syma still sold the potions at a lower cost.

And despite that, it had been able to easily expand all over the world, with even the Syma Royal Bank being introduced in the financial sector.

No one knew how Syma was able to grow despite selling their potions at such low rates, but the effects were visible for all to see.

Even the academy had now begun to buy potions from the guild, with a new agreement recently signed between them.

Namda had its own production line, but still, some part of the stock was bought from the other guilds, and now Syma had become the sole supplier to the academy.

"A single punch that made you sleep for an entire day... Surely it was just a punch."

Alicia’s sarcastic remark made Kevin click his tongue.

"That bastard got suspended from the academy for who knows how long. But let me tell you, once I see him again, I am going to—"

"Sure, sure."

As her inspection was now over, Alicia stepped back, while giving a glance to Diana, who had her eyes fixed on Kevin.

Kevin’s ramblings had become an everyday thing for them.

And Diana hated it when Kevin badmouthed Kael, so maintaining the peace between both of them had become Alicia’s job, which she had quickly grown proficient in.

The news of Kael’s suspension had quickly spread through out the entire academy, as his absence was explained in class by Instructor Elsa.

The surprising thing for Alicia was the support that many had shown for Kael.

Among those who were defending him, commoners were at the front, but that didn’t mean that they were his only backers.

Many students among the nobles had come in Kael’s support, as for most of them, Kael was someone they aspired to become.

Kael was already popular in the academy, being the only one to have scored full points in the entrance exam, coupled with his good looks and charisma... And after his recent fight against the student council, which resulted in Kael defeating Victoria, his fame had skyrocketed like anything else.

Even among the fifth-year students, Kael had become a constant topic of discussion.

Many students criticized the student council, specifically Victoria, for bullying a first-year and misusing her power.

Though such sentiments had risen far too quickly...

Ella and many others among Victoria’s faction believed this to be the work of rival factions—Ashlyn Levaith in particular.

Ana Wright—Ashlyn’s friend and the deputy head of the disciplinary committee—was the one working behind the scenes to bolster Kael’s image while simultaneously undermining Victoria’s.

There was even a protest organized on the assembly ground against the decision to suspend Kael.

Many demanded justice for Kael, while at the same time, requests were made to punish the student council in some way or another.

"You stay with him, I have some work to do."

Alicia spoke while looking towards Noah, who just nodded his head in return.

"Are you supporting him?"

Just as Alicia was about to leave the room, Kevin uttered the words in a voice that was closer to a whisper.

"You should rest."

Alicia didn’t provide a definite answer because she herself didn’t know what she desired.

"Why are you being so passive, huh?!"

Not getting an answer, Kevin stood from his bed before walking in Alicia’s direction.

"You of all people should know what he did to us?! What he did to the peace of our family?! Huh?! Answer me!"

Kevin’s outburst made Noah quickly approach him, as he grabbed the former by his shoulder before trying to make him retreat, but—

Kevin didn’t budge an inch.

"And you—"

Kevin turned his gaze to Diana, who just observed him in silence.

"After everything that he had done to you, how could all of you just forget it and act like the past never existed?! Am I the only sane—"

"It’s my life, my body. You don’t have to concern yourself with how I use it or whether my decisions are in my favour."

Diana’s tone was measured yet firm.

There wasn’t an ounce of hesitation in her voice.

There was a long silence in the room as Kevin observed Diana with an expression that was hard to describe.

"Kevin isn’t wrong."

Noah’s voice made Diana turn her attention to him.

Alicia too shifted her gaze to Noah, who crossed his arms while leaning on the nearby wall.

"You don’t have to look surprised. You should know Kael more than me or anyone else in the academy."

Noah uttered the words while looking at both Diana and Alicia, though his eyes settled on Alicia at the end.
