Beneath the Red Dragon

Karon’s massive body lay sprawled on the cool floor, making no movement. The claw resting on the Chief Maid Charlize’s body twitched slightly, but he said nothing.

Knowledge Fortress is the code name for the Half-Plane left by Ancient Mages.

Although Karon’s cooperation with the mages was notably smooth and fruitful, the Dragon Group was nearing the hibernation phase of their next age period; he wouldn’t choose to explore and adventure at this time.

Moreover, for Karon, blindly gathering knowledge without digestion was of no benefit. Even if he wasn’t facing the impending hibernation, he would still make the same choice.

The Red Dragon remained silent, making no indication.

But Maid Charlize already understood her master’s intention. She smiled slightly, without showing her teeth.

The Young Red Dragon Kaidelos maintained a vigilant watch of the surroundings, following Blue Dragon Carlette all the way to the northwest of the Dragon Group Territory, already beginning to stray from its boundaries.

This made the Young Red Dragon, Kaidelos, who had roamed for years, habitually maintain caution; no one could guarantee that the dangerous forest wouldn’t suddenly have creatures even stronger than a young Giant Dragon emerge. The hardships Kaidelos had once faced had taught him a lesson.

While the two Blue Dragons also kept vigilant, Blue Dragons possessed the ability to control storms, making them more agile and faster in the sky than the Red Dragon, so they weren’t particularly worried.

They might not outrun the enemy, but they could certainly outrun the Red Dragon.

"How much further, Carlette? If we go much further, we’ll have to turn back. We can’t drift too far from the Dragon Group Territory; we might trespass into the territory of other powerful creatures."

Blue Dragon Akzhi wished to complete the mission but wouldn’t let go of caution.

Blue Dragon Akzhi glanced at the excited Red Dragon with his vertical pupils and said calmly: "It won’t be your turn yet, Kaidelos. The Giant Dragons in the Dragon Group have absolute priority!"
