Chapter 265: Mist Repellant Potion, She’s Still Alive?!

The explosion that followed shook the entire chamber with overwhelming force, sending a violent shockwave in every direction that pushed even Godrick, Alicar, and Violet back despite their strength, while Leon had no choice but to raise his arm to shield his face as the blinding light and scorching heat swallowed everything in front of him.

For a brief moment, there was nothing but raw noise and condensed energy filling the space, a chaotic mixture of destruction that drowned out everything else before, just as suddenly, it all stopped. Silence.

A thick cloud of dust and mist spread throughout the chamber, rising from the impact and covering everything in a dense veil that made it nearly impossible to see what had actually happened at the center of the explosion.

But Leon didn’t hesitate for even a second.

He immediately opened his [Storage Space] and pulled out one of the [Mist Repellant Potion] he had.

[Mist Repellant Potion x3 (Epic): Consuming will allow you to look through the mist for an hour.]

And the moment he gulped it down, the world around him sharpened, the haze becoming far more transparent to his eyes as his vision cut through the lingering mist with clarity that the others simply didn’t have.

And that’s when he saw it: movement. Faint, unstable, but undeniably there.

The [Spider Mother]... was still alive.

Her massive body had been torn apart by the impact, nearly half of it completely destroyed, chunks of her form missing while dark fluid leaked from the wounds.

And yet despite all of that, her aura hadn’t vanished, instead flickering violently as if it could collapse at any moment.

But she hadn’t died. And Leon had no intention of letting that opportunity slip away.

Without wasting any time, he pushed off the ground and dashed forward at full speed, his body moving faster than before.

His grip tightened around both his sword and staff as energy began to gather around them.

This was his chance, and he wasn’t about to miss it.

With the explosion from the [Destruction Cannon] and the thick mist that followed, the entire [Mother’s Chamber] had descended into even greater chaos than before.

Sight was limited and danger could come from any direction at any time.

The remaining spiders reacted instantly, many of them rushing toward the center in a desperate attempt to reach their mother, while others turned their attention toward the players, attacking with even more aggression as if driven into a frenzy by what had just happened.

And yet, despite the confusion and reduced visibility, Godrick, Alicar, and Violet didn’t slow down in the slightest.

Godrick continued to swing his fists with overwhelming force, each strike infused with aura as he crushed any spider that got close, his grin still present as he tore through them without hesitation.

While Alicar’s arrows kept flying through the mist with precise control, hitting targets he could barely even see as if instinct alone guided his shots.

At the same time, Violet moved through the chamber with absolute control, her rapier flashing again and again as she cut down spiders that entered her range, her tail sweeping through groups of them whenever they got too close, maintaining the front line even in conditions where most would have struggled to react.

Because of that, Leon had a completely clear path forward.

No spiders intercepted him. No attacks slowed him down.

All of their attention was directed elsewhere, allowing him to move freely as he closed the distance toward the center of the explosion.

Within seconds, he crossed the battlefield, the potion helping him see through the mist until he finally reached the massive figure ahead: the [Spider Mother].

Up close, the damage was even more severe than he had expected, as nearly half of her body had been completely obliterated by the cannon’s attack, several of her legs gone while the remaining ones twitched weakly, struggling to support her massive frame.

And yet, despite everything, her crimson eyes still glowed with life, burning with rage as her presence lingered.

But that wasn’t what caught Leon’s attention the most.

His gaze shifted slightly toward the destroyed half of her body.

And that’s when he saw them. Small spiders. Dozens of them.

They clustered around her wounds, moving rapidly as they spun threads of dark silk, weaving it over the damaged areas in an attempt to restore her form.

’Healing her...’

Leon’s expression tightened slightly as he understood what was happening.

The [Spider Mother] wasn’t regenerating on her own. Her children were doing it for her.

And at the speed they were working, it wouldn’t take long. A few minutes at most.

She wouldn’t fully recover, but she didn’t need to.

Even partially restored, she would be more than capable of wiping out everyone in this chamber.

Leon didn’t hesitate.

Powerful Fireball!

He raised his staff and unleashed the attack directly toward the cluster of small spiders and the silk they were creating.

The fireball exploded on impact, instantly incinerating many of the smaller spiders whose bodies couldn’t withstand even that level of power, while the silk burned away completely, leaving nothing behind.

They weren’t even real threats, their durability so low that they barely qualified as monsters at all.

"SKREEEEE!"

The [Spider Mother] let out a sharp, pained screech as the healing process was abruptly interrupted, her body convulsing slightly as the damage remained exposed.

Her crimson eyes snapped toward Leon immediately, locking onto him with pure hostility. Then she moved.

Even in her weakened state, one of her remaining legs lashed out toward him with enough force to crush him instantly if it connected.

Leon knew he couldn’t take that hit. But he didn’t need to.

He stepped aside at the last moment, dodging the attack as it slammed into the ground where he had just been, cracking the floor beneath it.

At the same time, a crimson glow erupted around him and his blade as he immediately countered.

Crimson Dance!

Dozens of crimson slashes burst forward, all directed at the attacking limb as they struck repeatedly with relentless precision, cutting deeper and deeper with each hit.

The [Spider Mother] shrieked again, her already weakened body unable to endure the continuous assault.

And then, with a sharp crack, the leg was severed.
