Chapter 477: 477 - Tsunade confronts Kurenai!!!
"Once you’ve learned to use Tailed Beast Chakra Mode, you can join the Hokage Guard," Kitazawa said with a smile.Kabuto’s eyes narrowed slightly.
Since Konoha’s founding, only Senju Tobirama had ever formed a Hokage Guard. And it was no exaggeration to say that the Guard were the future backbone of the village. Sarutobi Hiruzen, Shimura Danzo, Mitokado Homura, and Utatane Koharu had all served in that unit when they were young.
Haku felt a surge of motivation. His dream had always been to join the Anbu to repay Kitazawa. The Hokage Guard sounded like an even higher-level unit—he could fulfill that wish just the same.
"I’ll work hard!" Ino clenched her fists, eyes blazing with determination.
The Hokage Guard existed to protect the Hokage. That meant she would get to see Kitazawa often.
Kakashi had already been informed, so he wasn’t surprised. What impressed him more was this new Tailed Beast Chakra Mode. Its structure was terrifyingly refined. It was no wonder people compared Kitazawa’s talent for inventing jutsu to Senju Tobirama’s.
"For now, all of you need to focus on learning how to use your Tailed Beasts’ chakra," Kitazawa said, ruffling Ino’s hair.
"Thank you, Kitazawa-sensei!" Ino and the others answered in unison.
"I’ll send you back to the village," Kitazawa added.
He formed the seals and activated the Flying Thunder God Technique. In the blink of an eye, they were standing at the entrance to the Hokage Building.
"Go train. If there’s anything you don’t understand, come ask me," Kitazawa said, then paused.
"Kakashi, you stay."
"Hokage-sama, is something the matter?" Kakashi asked once Ino and the others had left.
"Your Sharingan clone is ready. We can do the transplant today." Kitazawa opened a summoning storage scroll and took out a glass container. Inside floated Uchiha Obito’s other eye—currently in the form of a three-tomoe Sharingan.
"Understood," Kakashi said after a few seconds’ silence.
"Go find Nono-senpai and have her perform the surgery," Kitazawa instructed. He had no intention of doing it himself; an eye transplant was simple enough that any chunin or jonin-level medic could handle it.
After watching Kakashi leave, Kitazawa walked back into the Hokage Building and soon returned to his office.
The moment he opened the door, he froze.
An uninvited guest lay sprawled comfortably across his sofa—Tsunade.
"Tsunade-sensei," Kitazawa said with a smile as he walked over. "It’s rare to see you in my office."
He sat down beside her.
"I didn’t come to see you." Tsunade shifted her hips and lifted one leg, resting it on his lap.
"Then who did you come to see?" Kitazawa asked, reaching down to massage her ankle.
"Kurenai," Tsunade answered with a sidelong glance.
"Are you going to give me my reward tonight?" Kitazawa’s heartbeat quickened; he couldn’t help asking.
