Twisted Dreams

Chapter 411 - 479: Prison

Ordinary prisons are usually located on the city’s outskirts, at least far from downtown areas.

The prison in the Lost City is peculiar, built right in the city center.

Next to the prison is a security bureau.

Above it is written: South Sea Public Security Bureau.

The security bureau is very rundown, with the sign hanging on the verge of falling off.

The gate is always open, and looking in from the clean street, you can see the reception inside.

No one is at the reception; Li Yang even doubts whether there are any sheriffs at this bureau at all.

Strangely, even with a sheriff-less bureau, the street outside is devoid of people.

A large vacuum has formed here.

The only place where "people" can be seen is the prison next to the bureau.

The prison walls are tall and solid, built with grey stones, each exuding a heavy oppression.

The walls are covered with the marks of time, mottled and colorful.

A barbed wire curls around the top of the walls, gleaming with a cold metallic sheen under the reflection of light.

The wire has some kind of restriction, blocking all external peering.

The prison gate consists of two thick iron doors, with rust spreading at the corners.

Beside the iron gate is a security kiosk, and there is also a sentry post above the gate.

Both the kiosk and the sentry post are staffed, just like real prison guards.

Li Yang guesses that these people might be from the Celestial Race as well.

Li Yang walks toward the prison gate.

At a glance, the guards here range from Tier Three to Tier Four.

He can handle them easily.

Even if the sound of battle wakes Tie Lin, he is not afraid.

If worse comes to worst, he could just fight them?

In one aspect, Li Yang is quite similar to Xie Qilin.

They both value gains and losses more than their own lives.

"Who goes there!"

Two sheriffs walked out from the security kiosk.

The two sheriffs shouted:

"This is restricted prison grounds, unauthorized personnel must leave!"

Their tone was like regular prison guards dispersing onlookers.

In reality, greed and bloodlust flashed in their eyes.

They merely mimicked the demeanor of ordinary prison guards, they had long discerned Li Yang to be human, and couldn’t wait to savor his fresh meat.

Li Yang lowered the brim of his hat, black flames igniting on him.

With each step he took, more features of the Death God Body appeared on him, like a form of transformation.

The two Celestial guards frowned.

They felt a strong oppressive force emanating from Li Yang, each step he took seemed to tread upon their hearts.

However, the desire for human flesh overshadowed the fear and doubt in their hearts.

"Heh heh heh..."

"This is restricted prison grounds, unauthorized personnel must leave!"

The two Celestial guards licked their dry lips as their bodies began to change.

One grew an additional head, with three pairs of arms.

The clothes on the abdomen of the other tore apart, a human head dripping with slime emerged.

Li Yang formed a seal with one hand:

"Fire Curse: Evil Extinguishment!"

The two charging Celestials suddenly halted, their bodies swelling bizarrely.

"Boom!"

A blast rang out as the two Celestial guards exploded like ignited bombs.

The flying flesh and bone rapidly turned to ash in the air.

The wind was stirred up, causing Li Yang’s black trench coat to flap wildly in an instant.

"Woo~"

The alarm was sounded from the sentry on the gate.

Indifferent to the piercing alarm, Li Yang walked to the iron gate, placing his left hand on it, and formed a seal with his right:

"Fire Curse: Yin and Yang Poles."

The temperature of the iron gate suddenly dropped to an extreme cold, then abruptly surged into intense heat.

"Boom!"

The extreme cold and heat caused the iron gate to explode!

Li Yang is not occupied every day.

Once the Demon Club reached a certain size, with mature Apostles and Great Demons, its operations required little of his attention.

He only needed to make the most crucial decisions, guiding the massive entity of the Demon Club along the path he envisioned.

In his spare time, Li Yang studied ’Spirit Skills.’

In the Extraordinary Circle, so-called ’Spirit Skills’ refer to the skillful manipulation of Spiritual Power and Talents.

For instance, someone gathers elements under their feet and then releases them instantaneously to move swiftly using the explosive force.

Li Yang’s Hell Spell can simulate any technique, and naturally, he created some ’Spirit Skills’ himself.

Li Yang raised his head, the Soul Fire flickering, as he stared at everything inside the prison.

Inside the prison are three cell blocks, one with three stories, one with five stories, and one with ten stories.

Each block is imbued with a dense power of restriction, sealing whatever’s inside.

In that three-story cell block, Li Yang could sense the presence of three living beings.

The one who called him here, with Suzu Handwriting, is in that three-story cell block.

Li Yang headed for the three-story cell block.

At that moment, Celestial people dressed as sheriffs approached from all directions.

"This is restricted prison grounds! Uninvolved people leave immediately!"

They spoke these words in unison, but their eyes were filled with greed and desire.

Li Yang glanced at them.

Most of these fellows were Tier Three or Tier Four.

Li Yang murmured spells under his breath as magic circles appeared on the ground.

In an instant, the magic circles filled every corner of the prison.

Cold winds gusted.

The entire prison’s temperature dropped to freezing point!

The piercing cold was chilling to the bone.

Moans could be heard coming from the magic circles as pale hands reached out, climbing out from the edges of the circles.

They were undead with crimson eyes, emitting a stench of decay!

The ranks of these undead varied from Tier One to Tier Two.

Individually, the undead would definitely not match up to the prison guards.

However, aren’t Undead Mages known for their victory through overwhelming numbers?

The undead outnumbered the Celestial guards, and they could return to the Undead Alternate Space to heal after getting injured, then rejoin the battle.

The undead roared as they rushed toward the Celestial guards.

The Celestials could rarely restrain their desire to devour when facing humans, but food for the undead was not just humans.

They despised the living, greedy for their blood.

For the first time, the Celestial guards realized they were part of another’s menu!

The entire prison descended into chaos.

Celestial guards and undead clashed and battled from corner to corner.

Li Yang navigated the chaotic battlefield with steady steps, as if strolling through a back garden, heading toward the three-story cell block.

He felt delighted within.

This was the first time he fought without restraint using Extraordinary Power.

In human society, desires could capture minds, requiring no intervention from him.

The only two times he had to use his full strength was against the Wandering Ones.

The thrill of battle is intoxicating, and two times were not nearly enough.

Li Yang reached the three-story cell block.

Standing at the door were five Celestial guards in security uniforms.

"You have violated the security regulations, please leave immediately!"

The Celestial guards smiled eerily.

Their bodies began to change.

Some grew the lower bodies of spiders, others became covered in thick scales...

They stopped pretending and revealed their true forms, launching an attack at Li Yang.

"Ah, fresh flesh!"

"Thank you, foolish human."

"It’s feast time!"

These five Celestials were all Tier Five!

Li Yang turned his bone hand, and a Death Scythe appeared in his grasp.

With a fierce swing, the five Celestials were instantly torn apart.
