Twisted Dreams

Chapter 410 - 478: Lost City

The boy’s grin grew more exaggerated, stopping only when the corners of his mouth ripped to his ears, his teeth turning sharp like steel nails.

"Hehe, my dear brother is so kind, surely he’ll willingly let me devour him!"

The boy’s body continued transforming.

Four eyes emerged on his forehead, blinking continuously at Li Yang.

"Hehe, uncle is so considerate, coming to this quiet place just to offer himself to me.

I can enjoy uncle all by myself now, I’m sure uncle tastes delicious."

The sound of bones cracking emerged from the boy’s arms, which grew more length, giving his arms two joints.

Li Yang watched the boy expressionlessly.

Is this the appearance of the Celestial Race?

Reflecting on the features of the Celestial Ghosts, he realized the Celestial Race has quite bizarre appearances.

The boy looked at Li Yang in confusion:

"Uncle, why aren’t you scared? Is my terrifying look scaring you senseless?

Hehehe, I love it when humans are scared silly, they taste sour and delicious."

The boy smiled with a twisted affection:

"Uncle, are you so scared that you wet your pants?

Compared to my appearance, uncle you look really cute!"

Li Yang raised an eyebrow:

"Cute?"

Suddenly, black flames burst from Li Yang’s body, his flesh receding, revealing sinister white bones.

His eyes emitted eerie ghostly flames with black spells within them.

The Corpse of Death appeared!

The overwhelming terror, like a mix of demon and deity, pressed down on the boy like a mountain.

The boy looked at Li Yang in horror:

"You you you..."

He wanted to escape but couldn’t move at all.

Under the pressure, the air around seemed to solidify, confining him there.

Li Yang extended a hand, the bone claws grasping the boy’s neck, a grim voice resonating from his throat:

"From now on, I ask, you answer."

The boy was lifted by Li Yang, growing more horrified and fearful.

The boy was Tier Four, yet in Li Yang’s grasp, he was like a helpless chick!

This man, no, this monster is powerful, as strong as the City Lord!

Li Yang pulled the boy closer.

The boy stared at the two eerie soul fires in front, feeling like they were all that remained in the world, sinister and evil.

The soul fires in Li Yang’s eyes seemed ready to incinerate him to ashes at any moment!

The boy had once thought his race could bring disaster and misfortune to this world.

But, the monster before him was disaster, was misfortune, was ominous!

The boy’s three pairs of eyes blinked rapidly, showing his nervousness and unease, he swallowed hard:

"Uncle, please ask."

Li Yang said:

"Are you of the Celestial Race?"

The boy replied:

"Yes!"

Li Yang asked:

"Are all in the city Celestial Race?"

The boy said:

"There is a prison in the city, the guards are Celestial Race, those imprisoned are not."

Li Yang asked:

"Who are those imprisoned?"

The boy shook his head:

"I don’t know."

Li Yang’s fingers pressed harder, sharp bone claws piercing into the boy’s neck, feeling the moist throat:

"Think."

The boy’s face turned pale with pain:

"I remember now, the City Lord said they are Wandering Ones!"

Li Yang asked:

"Who is the City Lord?"

The boy hurried his answer:

"Tie Lin!"

This answer surprised Li Yang.

Tie Lin is a Wandering One, likely a companion to the other Wandering Ones.

But Tie Lin actually imprisoned the Wandering Ones and used the Celestial Race as guards.

Interesting.

Li Yang asked:

"How many Celestial Race are in the city?"

The boy was struggling for breath and weakly said:

"O-over ten thousand Celestial Race."

The soul fire in Li Yang’s eyes flickered.

Over ten thousand Celestial Race.

If over ten thousand Celestial Race are all Tier Four, then they could plunge human society into a grave crisis.

Unless the Great Truth Weapon is deployed.

However, on the other hand, if over ten thousand Celestial Race are scattered worldwide, the Great Truth Weapon might not work.

Furthermore, who knows if these creatures possess strange abilities, like being undead or reborn?

Li Yang asked:

"How many Wandering Ones are in the city?"

The boy’s eyes flickered:

"If you release me, I’ll take you to the prison, you can see for yourself."

Li Yang applied more force, asking:

"Where is the prison?"

The boy obediently pointed to a location.

Without hesitation, Li Yang crushed the boy’s neck.

This small Celestial clearly didn’t know how many Wandering Ones were in the city.

Li Yang chanted a spell, and a black Magic Circle appeared under the small Celestial.

The black Magic Circle emitted beams, encasing the small Celestial like a cocoon.

Moments later, the cocoon broke.

The small Celestial turned into an Undead Creature.

He still had three pairs of eyes and a mouth that ripped to his ears.

His neck was broken, looking at Li Yang with red eyes.

Li Yang waved his hand, and the small Celestial Undead vanished within the Magic Circle.

"What should I do now?"

Li Yang pondered.

"Perhaps, visit the prison?"

Li Yang glanced towards the prison’s location.

Logically, those Wandering Ones were imprisoned by Tie Lin, if rescued, they might become allies.

Still, Li Yang had his doubts.

It’s not that he’s afraid of fighting.

In human society, he, as a Half-Death God, rarely gets the chance to fight, he’s intrigued to try going all out.

Yet... would those Wandering Ones truly become allies?

Who knows what intrigue lies between the Wandering Ones and Tie Lin.

Footsteps echoed outside the alley.

Li Yang hadn’t yet returned to human form and quietly watched the alley entrance.

A woman in professional attire staggered towards him.

Her gaze was hollow, arms hanging down, with drool trickling from her mouth, resembling a zombie.

The woman hobbled towards Li Yang:

"Li Yang, you finally came."

The soul fire in Li Yang flickered as he pondered.

This woman was also Celestial Race, seemingly controlled by something.

The woman continued:

"Li Yang, hurry up, won’t you?

Come to the prison quickly, I’m waiting for you.

Tie Lin will wake up soon, and he’ll discover you."

Li Yang asked:

"Who are you exactly?"

The woman tremblingly reached out:

"How can you not remember me?"

"Uh..."

The woman suddenly collapsed to the ground, clutching her head in pain:

"I was severely injured by Tie Lin, controlling this Celestial woman is too exhausting.

I’m at my limit, once you arrive at the prison, all answers will be revealed."

After speaking, her eyes regained clarity, first bewildered by her presence, then joyous and greedy at the sight of Li Yang:

"Human! Food!"

Li Yang closed his skeletal mouth, lowering his head, a detached voice resonating from his throat:

"Interesting."

Li Yang swung his hand, slicing the woman’s neck before she could pounce.

Li Yang chanted a spell, the Celestial woman also transformed into an Undead.
