CAT WARLOCK: This Darklord Feasts Upon Horror

Chapter 322: Illuminati

Controlling a demon was difficult. Unless Mater engraved a Submission Mark onto them upon their birth. Like what he did with Bash and Solarix.

If he was a Rank-4, there might also be a chance to enslave Xara. But he wasn’t a Rank-4 at the moment.

"I can, however, turn Xara’s hand into a mindless weapon and suppress the will within her flesh. I would need a few more suitable relics to forge this item."

It wasn’t that difficult to find a suitable relics with the help of his new followers.

He acquired almost two hundred Red Keepers cultists. Every single one of them was men. That irked Mater so much. His followers needed to have a balance of male and female.

He also disliked their costumes and how they looked. The Red Keepers were ugly as hell and didn’t even know about personal grooming.

Grooming was very important for a cat. And Mater disliked it if others weren’t.

He gathered the cultists inside an open field in the woods.

"Listen up! You need to lose those red hoods immediately. They’re fucking ugly!" The black cat meowed.

With the mark he left behind, they could understand him without the human tongue.

"You’re not Red Keepers anymore! You’re..."

The black cat turned around and waved his servants over.

It whispered, "What should we call our new cult?"

Crow rubbed his chin for a little bit then said, "Shadow Cloak?"

"That’s too much like you, Crow! How about Demonic Feline?" Solarix said.

"No! No! No! The name needs to have some gravitas." Sparrow wagged his finger. "How about... Servants of the Night?"

"That one sounds cool. But it is a bit too long." The black cat meowed.

"Illuminati!" Bash said.

Everyone turned to him.

"Where did you hear that name, Bash?" The black cat meowed.

"I heard Selina said it a few times!" Bash smiled brightly.

"Oh yeah. She really likes those conspiracy theories." The black cat stroked his whiskers.

The Illuminati was just an urban rumor inside this world. There was no organization with that name. If it did, Mater would have known about it via the vast databases that he had infiltrated.

"Illuminati it is."

The black cat turned back to the former Red Keepers.

"You are the Illuminati. Our core goal is to maintain order of this world. Or main weapon is secret. And our final judgment is power by any mean necessary." The black cat growled loudly.

The former Red Keepers, now member of the new Illuminati, raised their hands.

"Illuminati! Illuminati! Illuminati!"

And with that, a new cult was born. A cult with extreme secrecy and power behind them.

’Maybe I can actually merge this cult with the Dark Syndicate... The Dark Syndicate can be foot soldiers and middle members. The Illuminati consists of more important members and Psychics.’ The black cat already had a plan in his head on how to operate his new force.

The Dark Syndicate was great at generate revenue for him. But its strength wasn’t really that great.

The former Red Keepers were all Psychic. The weakest one was at least a level 2 or 3 Psychic.

They were still weak in Mater’s eyes, of course. But with his and his servants’ guidance, it wouldn’t be difficult to raise the overall level of these Psychics.

Additionally, Leslie was also having a lot of progress regarding the G.O.D. solution. That solution could be used for the Illuminati’s members as well.

’Master really is building for himself a hidden army.’ Crow observed everything and thought to himself.

The former Red Keepers gifted all of their relics to Mater. Most were very weak, uninterested relic that he disliked.

But there were a few that caught his eyes.

A dagger that was forged with the body of its maker.

A topaz necklace that encased Envy NES inside.

The last one was a unique crystallized gem that could amplify certain types of energy going through it.

The crystallized gem wasn’t suitable for the job so Mater kept it in his Arsenal for later use.

The dagger was good. But also not suitable to be forge with a demonic hand. It had soul inside it, another phantom, similar to Forus’s Helmet.

The topaz was neutral enough to fuse with the demonic hand.

Mater still needed another item to be used with the creation of his fourth Demonic Item.

The black cat decided to stay in Lieu Iana for a few more days to see if he would have any luck in finding one.

As for the new Illuminatus, the term of the members of the Illuminati, Mater had ordered them to move to Aeliz City and started their operations there.

The Underpark still had a lot of rooms left for them to move in. If it wasn’t Sparrow could easily make more space.

The streets in Lieu Iana after the festival was in a horrendous state. Trash everywhere and many structures were damaged because of how crazy it was.

Luckily, without the influence of the Red Keepers, the authority had a much easier time to rectify everything.

The servants split out to find a relic for Mater.

As for the lazy cat, he floated in the air once more while bathing under the warm sunlight.

"Being a cat is the best! I love being a cat!"

Mater stretched his body in the cloud.

"Hmm?" He looked down at the town. The Octagram appeared in his eye.

Mater noticed a certain Chaos disturbance and flew down to see.

It was Tanya again. She was being ’possessed’ by some kind of demon and the ordinary people were trying to perform an exorcism for her.

"Foolish human. She isn’t possessed. She is fighting with her former demon self. If she lost, Tanya will be no more." The black cat made itself invisible via Minor Distortion and sneaked inside Tanya’s house.

Her friends and family were there, watching a priest throw Holy Water on her.

He recited a chant and prayed for the demon to go away.

"You may cross path with Crow again. I can’t let my boy be lonely for eternity. Let me help you dealing with that."

The black cat landed on her head without anyone noticing. He jumped into her dream.

It was the battlefield again. The place where she was slain by Forus.
