CAT WARLOCK: This Darklord Feasts Upon Horror

Chapter 319: Lord Demon

Mater traced the Chaos Link to the outskirts of Lieu Iana. It was an abandoned warehouse once again.

"Why do these cultists always pick a warehouse?" The black cat meowed.

"Maybe because it is the perfect place to do sneaky jobs? After all, with the amount of urban legends running around, people would not dare to go near places like this." Crow said.

"Reasonable." Mater nodded in response.

They landed a bit far away from the warehouse. Mater let Sparrow come out of the Prison.

"What’s our battle plan, Master?" Sparrow rubbed his hands together.

Since the beginning of his conception, Sparrow hadn’t had a lot of time to fight. Evelynn didn’t even join a fight yet. Solarix had a lot of experiences fighting in the Confederation.

Solarix had Elemental Shield, Alchemist’s Arrow, and Carrying Wind as her Pact Spells. One for offense, one for defense, and one for mobility. Carrying Wind worked extremely well with her flight ability.

Evelynn had Elemental Shield and Carrying Wind only. As a level 5, she could only equip 2 Pact Spells.

Sparrow had Elemental Shield, Hellfire’s Sealed Pit, Petrification Void, Corrupted Force and Water Clones. The Satyr was determined to become the most annoying player on the battlefield.

"We will go like this. Me, Crow, and Bash will enter the warehouse. Sparrow, Solarix, and Evelynn will cover the outside and make sure no one will get out.

Sparrow. Use Terrestrial Spirit to block all the exits. Summon the Earth Golems to act as tanks.

Solarix, you are the main attacker outside. Just kill anything you see.

Evelynn. You are the weakest of the bunch. But your spells can easily neutralize any enemy. Do not go out on your own. Only neutralize enemy to create an opportunity for your allies or protect yourself and others."

The Adventurous Lute appeared in Sparrow’s hands, "The Master has spoken and I shall listen."

Solarix pumped her fists together and licked her lips, "Finally, some actions!"

"I’ll try my best!" Feathered wings covered Evelynn.

"Good. Now, Crow, Bash. Let’s give these cultists a surprise. There are a few Rank-2 inside, perfect for you to deal with."

"As you command, Master!" Crow and Bash bowed.

Inside the warehouse, a giant pentagram lay in the middle of the floor. Negative Emotional Energy flooded to the pentagram and created a nonstop aura that tainted this land.

In the middle of the pentagram was a Crimson Hood. This one was much stronger than the previous Crimson Hood Mater had encountered.

This one was a Peak Hazard Psychic.

"Near! It’s near! The time for our Lord to arrive is near!" The Crimson Hood lifted his head high and screamed.

The Red Hoods around them shouted in response.

"Demon Lord! Demon Lord! Demon Lord!"

"Which lord are you talking about?"

Bash entered the warehouse. His small frame was illuminated by the moonlight from behind. His Blood Mask looked extremely eerie.

"Who the hell are you?"

The Crimson Hood stared. In front of him was a fingerless demonic hand. The hand floated in the air.

"I am a demon." Bash said. His voice squeaked like an ordinary elementary schoolkid.

The Red Keepers laughed.

"Whose child is this? Teach him some manners!"

"I don’t think it is a Bring Your Child To Work day."

"He also wears red. Is he someone’s kid?"

The Crimson Hood smiled and approached Bash.

"You’re a son of our member, correct? Didn’t they teach you not to invoke the word demon?" The Crimson Hood smiled gently. He was rather intrigued and not enraged.

"I’m not. I tell you. I am a demon."

"Oh? Is that right? Then our lord demon, please show us your true form." The Crimson Hood said it sarcastically.

"Shall be it." Bash pulled the mask off him. The red mask disintegrated into ash.

The Crimson Hood stepped back in shock, "You!"

Bash growled. His mouth broke apart too wide and his teeth were as sharp as a shark.

"This form is too small for me..." Bash’s squeaky kid voice turned low and dark.

He stretched his shoulders and enlarged. His true form was revealed. A giant red demon with bone white exoskeleton. He was so large that his head hit the ceiling of the warehouse.

"It’s a demon!"

"Our lord has returned! Our lord has returned!"

The Crimson Hood widened his eyes and trembled.

"This! This is untrue! All demons were wiped out in the Blood War!"

"You aren’t dreaming, mortal." Bash laughed. "I am a demon. And I am here to kill all of you."

Bash stepped forward. His feet caused a large crack on the ground.

All the Red Keepers could feel his demonic power. True pure Demonic Power. This was no trick. This was a real demon.

Bash clenched his fist and punched the Crimson Hood. He was ready to slaughter everyone. Crow and Mater floated at the top of the warehouse, watching everything unfolded.

Bash’s fist flew to the Crimson Hood.

Surprisingly enough, the man did not run nor counterattack. He knelt down.

"Mercy, my lord demon!"

Bash’s fist stopped just a few centimeters away from him. His demonic eye raised in confusion.

"What?" Bash said.

"The goal of our church is to resurrect your kind, Lord Demon! We do not intend to disrespect you!"

’Hmm.’ The black cat stroked its whiskers. ’Maybe we don’t need to kill them all.’

The black cat instructed on Bash on what to say next.

"Which Demon are you under?" Bash’s deep voice echoed. He retreated his hand.

"We are the followers of Xara, Lord Demon!"

’Xara? An X prefix demon? This is the conquest branch. Their only goal is to invade other worlds... Let’s try something, Bash.’

"I shall forgive you all for your blasphemy. If all of you swear your loyalty to me." Bash said.

The Crimson Hood widened his eyes. "But Lord Demon... We can’t betray Xara. If we did, she would rain hellfire on us."

"Surrender to me! Or die right here!"

The Crimson Hood bit his lips. "I cannot betray Xara, Lord Demon! She’s a Rank-4 Demon. I mean no disrespect but you are only a Rank-2 Demon. In all fairness, she is higher rank than you."

"That’s right, Lord Demon! You shouldn’t disrespect our lord like that."

"Please leave, Lord Demon. We’re Xara’s followers do not want any conflict with you."

"Well. Worth a try. Let’s kill them all." Mater’s voice echoed in the warehouse.
