Chapter 516: Countdown

Hugo's words also carried an intent to probe Bai Kou, but Bai Kou's expression didn't change at all. She just said indifferently, "If you can get out alive, turning District 011 into a plague land is fine too."

As her words fell, she snapped her fingers. The metal that had originally been attached to the hospital walls rapidly contracted and gathered, coalescing into long strips that shot towards Whale and the other man from all directions!

"Ha!" Whale roared, grabbed the locomotive beside him with one hand, and swung it with all his might, knocking away all those metal bars. However, the metal wasn't solid. Once struck, it immediately turned into a puddle of liquid, splattering and wrapping around the locomotive, then moving to encircle the two men at the center, gradually forming a giant sphere.

"Get out, quick!" Hugo reminded Whale. The latter continued to swing the discolored locomotive, smashing it against the curved metal. But he only managed to dent it, so he changed direction, thrusting the locomotive upwards and breaking out just before the metal sphere closed completely.

However, Bai Kou was already waiting for them above. She reached out her hand, the ring on her index finger flashing with light. The light enveloped the two men, and the locomotive in Whale's hand immediately turned into a heavy, lifeless object, slamming down hard on his head.

Whale tilted his neck, hoisting the locomotive onto his shoulder, and finally managed to escape the sphere's encirclement. But both he and the locomotive ended up pinned under Bai Kou's foot.

Hugo looked up, rubbed his pitch-black arm against the underside of the locomotive, and black pathogens immediately surged upwards.

Whale was wearing special protective clothing and gloves, ignoring the threat of the pathogens. Bai Kou, standing above, was still in her previous evening gown attire, looking very vulnerable to infection.

Unfortunately, the pathogens hadn't even reached the edge of her shoe before being forced back by an invisible force. Bai Kou pressed down with her right hand through the air, as if compressing the air into a wall. If the pathogens hadn't been squeezed into a flat plane, there would have been no visible trace of her action!
