Chapter 311: Council of truegods
Loki walked through a hallway, his steps made a perfect rhythm, he was headed for a large door that was at the end of the hallway.
After every step he took, a torch came on and lit the way, a red carpet with golden embroidery paved the way to the door, and stepping outside this carpet was not allowed, as magical formations lined up the sides.
His face showed no expression, which was a first, after all, he was always doing what he wanted when he wanted, but now was different.
He got to the door, it was made of dark metal with engravings more ancient than time itself. He took a deep breath to calm himself and then placed his hands on the door, the door immediately started opening.
The grinding sound of gears filled the air, and it opened to present a hall inside, a massive one.
And inside were ten seats set around on twisted platforms. They were made of dark marble and a symbol sat at the top of each one, the figures sat on them as well, each one distinct from the other.
Each one oozed genuine power, their presence alone caused the air to be very heavy.
To the extreme end was a man sitting, he was a tall figure, too tall to be a normal human, with skin that looked almost like crystal and two horns on his head.
He was none other than the prince of light, Lucifer, the true god of pride and destruction, he was decked in a full black robe and a walking stick rested on his chair, the top a skull with two horns as well.
He opened his eyes for a moment, showing a deep red colored eye that could trap any soul at first glance.
Next to him was a lady, the definition of beauty and strength, she was decked in full armor and a beautiful blonde red cloak, the only weapon on her was a dagger that rested on her waist.
She oozed bloodlust and killing intent, it was suppressed, but even then it managed to seep out for Loki to feel.
She was Freya, the goddess of fate and destiny. She looked at Loki with eyes that said it all, they knew themselves from somewhere, their eyes said more words than their mouths could say.
After staring at him for a few seconds, she looked away.
The next person on the seat was a tall and extremely well built man, with blonde hair and deep blue eyes, he was decked in sleeveless armor that allowed his large and powerful hands to show, and on it was a tattoo of lightning around his arms.
On the ground was a large hammer next to his feet, covered with engravings that seemed extremely ancient. Loki locked eyes with this figure for a few seconds.
He was Thor, the god of storms and lightning, the one that could bring storms that destroy worlds. He was the brother of Loki, and from the way they looked at each other, it was clear that they didn’t like each other at all.
Beside Thor was the fourth figure, a man draped in clean blue armor and a trident in his hands, long dark hair that flowed down to his shoulders.
His eyes were sharp, like they could pierce through the soul of whoever they looked at, deep and endless. He was Poseidon, the god of storms and the seas. Everything liquid bowed to his control.
And next to him was a figure who had one eye covered with an eye patch, and his other was dark like the abyss, his hair was dark and flowed down, merging with his full beard.
He stared at Loki with the disappointment of a father, he had a lot to say to Loki, but the words could not come out yet, and so he looked at him with disappointment.
He was Odin, known as the All Father, no one knew what his true power was, but some rumored it to be the power of the cosmos, a terrifying ability to create and to destroy, allowing him to use all types of magic across the board.
Beside him was another being of great power, an old man with grey hair, but a completely ripped body, he wrapped himself with a white robe and had gold accessories on his body.
He held a long staff that was made of gold and shaped like lightning. He was Zeus, the god of lightning, but that was the bare minimum of what he was known for, but he never needed more than that to take down whoever came against him. The only god that gave the same aura as him here was Odin and that was why both of them were at the center of the meeting.
Beside Zeus was an old man with blonde hair and golden eyes, dressed in golden armor that continued into an embroidered skirt.
Ra, the god of the sun, and a being that was nearly as powerful as Zeus and Odin. He looked calm and oozed authority, his eyes were focused on Loki, as if he was already judging Loki before the meeting started.
Loki didn’t meet his gaze, as if worried something would happen if he did, he kept his face forward.
Next came a figure that was draped in complete black, his face barely showed through the robes and he was covered in a shroud of death.
He lifted his head and his red glowing eyes showed.
Hades, the god of death, his presence alone made the air feel dead, and Loki loathed that, because Hades was one of the people that was as tricky and coy as him, so they never really got along.
Next to Hades was Ares, the god of war, and faithful to his name he was decked in black armor and his sword stabbed into the ground beside the seat as he stared right at Loki with a glare.
