Chapter 301: This isn’t good
Aren watched the two clash, the ground was shaking underneath his feet and cracks were spreading very fast.
"They aren’t going all out yet," he said in a calm tone.
"What the hell do you mean they aren’t going all out yet? They are ripping the ground apart," Ken said.
"Aren is right," Zero stated, her eyes seemed fixed on the battle, this was one time when she was locked on fully.
"They are pacing themselves, they don’t want to start pulling ultimate moves when there is a chance it can be blocked or stopped," Zero explained and Aren nodded.
He could tell the level of strength that was in an Angel was exponential, she was sure that Lucy was stronger than all the top awakened above level hundred, she should easily be one of the strongest beings in the domain right now.
After fighting against Geisha and taking an attack from the Blade patriarch, he knew what their strength level was. He wanted to see her showcase that level of strength, he wanted to see her go all out, but that would only happen if the demon was able to push her to that limit and it seemed like that was happening now.
Lucy stood straight and her spear tip touched the ground, she looked at the demon before cracking her neck with a twist.
"Seems this will not end easily," she muttered, she shot forward even faster, the blast from her charging was so exponential that the ground cracked, a massive crater the size of a basketball court formed.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" She spun her spear and spun like a vortex and slashed, the force from the attack already started ripping the ground apart long before the attack even got to the demon.
The demon stomped forward, a spiderweb crack formed under his feet, he slashed with both swords downward, the wind gathering around him like a vortex.
CLANG!
Space ruptured as their collision happened, the wind rushed out like blades, cutting through rocks and everything it met, turning it into nothing but small fragments.
The ground beneath them cracked and then sunk into a crater. The cracks didn’t stop, they kept spreading farther away.
From the center of the crater, the demon flew away like a rocket into the air, he glanced back and saw Lucy chasing after him.
"Arghhhhhhh, you filthy fallen angel," he roared in anger and turned around, unleashing a wave of slashes, each arc at least twenty feet wide, he unleashed over fifty slashes at her.
Lucy looked at the slashes, she clenched her jaws, flying faster and evading the attacks with speed, she flew through every small opening she saw and managed to get through the attacks.
The demon was enraged by this and was about to attack again, but Lucy didn’t let him this time, she thrust her spear forward and it turned into a snake-like metal, moving fast and curving through the air, it wrapped around the demon, she immediately used it, swinging the demon around very fast until she hurled him down into the ground hard.
BANG!
He slammed into the ground and left a very large dust cloud and a larger crater.
She kicked against the air and flew down even faster, eager to end the demon there before things got too out of hand, but right when her attack was about to land, she sensed someone appear, someone extremely powerful, he caught the spear with one hand, wind rushed in all directions.
Lucy looked down and who she saw immediately sent shivers down her spine, it was Geisha.
She pulled her spear back and flew away very fast, landing beside Aren, her eyes trembled.
"That, that’s"
"Geisha," Aren muttered in a low tone, from the moment that Geisha appeared he sensed him and was immediately worried and honestly scared.
Geisha looked at the demon on the ground with a frown. "Are demons this useless now? You lost against a young fallen angel," he said in disgust, but then he looked up and locked eyes with Lucy, "Though you are pretty strong, I have to say, you must be a talented one."
He then slowly moved his eyes and landed right on Aren, a smile crept up on his face.
"Long time no see," he said.
Aren gritted his teeth, he clenched his fist hard in anger. If there was anything that he knew, it was that Geisha was not the same as before, he was stronger, probably fully recovered now.
"No hi or hello? Tch, well whatever. Thanks to your little angel and demon fight and a tip from an old friend, I knew what was happening here and so I came to check it out, lucky me I found you," Geisha said.
"Aren, what do we do?" Kira asked.
"I don’t know yet," Aren said with his face twisted in frustration.
If Geisha moved at this moment, the situation would not be good at all, they would probably all get into a battle that would surely leave them dead.
"So what is the choice that you have made, do you wish to follow me? I heard you became the number one of humanity, saving that angel over there," Geisha said, showing Aren that he was informed about what was happening in the domain.
"You can run from your fellow humans, they might be weak when compared to me, but they will catch you and they’ll kill you," Geisha stated, he looked at Aren and stretched out his hands, "this is an offer that you can’t refuse," Geisha said.
Aren was about to say something when suddenly the sound of thunder ripped through the air and from the sky above, a red light could be seen, it fell from above and into the ground right in between Geisha and Aren.
BOOM!
The explosion caused dust to rise, and when it finally died down, the person who stood there was the Patriarch of the Blade family.
He stood straight and then looked right at Geisha.
"Haha, seems some big shots are here now," Geisha said.
"I’m not here for you, I’m here for the kid," the patriarch stated calmly, he turned and looked at Aren and Athena.
The patriarch didn’t know when Geisha got close to him and then placed his hand on his shoulder.
"Sorry, but the kid belongs to me," Geisha said.
The patriarch was stunned, he didn’t sense Geisha move at all.
"So this is the strength of Geisha, I could not see his movements at all," the patriarch thought.
"Fine, you can have the kid, but as for the girl, I’ll be taking her," the patriarch said.
At that time the demon also rose back to his feet, he saw Geisha standing there and immediately bowed his head.
"Greetings, Master Geisha."
"I don’t know why she would send someone as incompetent as you," Geisha said.
The patriarch looked at the demon that was there, shocked to his core by the presence of this being, he could sense the power in it, one that was above level hundred for certain.
The next moment, three figures came from the sky above, the patriarch saw them and immediately frowned.
One was an old man, with complete white robes, his head was bald and his beard white and long. He had his hands tucked into his sleeves like a monk, and his aura screamed peace and calm.
He was the patriarch of the Silver family, a peaceful man from what everyone that knew him could say, but beyond that was a terrifying warrior that once stood against the Wargod and managed to last hours in battle before losing.
A loss might sound bad, until your opponent was the pinnacle of humanity’s strength and one of the only people to do that.
Beside him was a lady, dressed in a blood red gown, her skin as pale as paper and her eyes as dark as the abyss, she held a small black umbrella that she used to cover her head from the sun, she was the Matriarch of the Trueblood family.
She wasn’t meant to be, but after killing her father, the patriarch, and taking the seat, no one was able to say anything about it. She was the definition of classy and lethal, like a snake that looked beautiful due to its scales but a bite from it would end a life.
The final figure that was there was in a suit and looked like a completely average middle-aged man with nothing special to show. Average height, black hair, glasses on his eyes and no special factor, but the fact remained that this man was the first son of the patriarch of the Ironclaw family and the one that would inherit the seat.
This line up that was here was a terrifying line up and the pressure in this place was climbing rapidly, and Aren found himself at the center of it all.
"This isn’t good, this is not good," he kept saying in his mind as he watched.
