Malwine was embarrassingly proud of herself for that simple act of self-control.
She suspected she’d never truly manage to really get over her unease at feeling this helpless, but there was something she could control—herself. Specifically, she could control what she did about what she had since dubbed the frozen Thekla issue—at least for the time being, and only until she inevitably forgot the label. Despite what her own freakouts wanted her to believe, she did very much have some weapons in her arsenal that could help… while she waited for Alaric to come up with a better idea, anyhow.
Maybe that was why Malwine found herself so willing to give him more time—it wasn’t as though she knew what to do.
That would be where a certain Skill would come in handy… or so she hoped. She’d willfully ignored [Situational Autopilot] for so long that she even glossed over it whenever she looked at the totality of her Skills—it might as well have not existed anymore. She’d never figured out just why using it had put Margreth on edge, but for all she knew, it might work in a different context. As annoying as some of the earliest notifications she had gotten were, given the barbs in them, the Skills she started out with couldn’t possibly be useless.
