A storm of rumors surrounds Evans Kahn, the enigmatic new professor at Hogwarts whose power over magical creatures borders on the miraculous. Is he the first Dark Lord(Grindelwald) reborn?     At his Wizengamot inauguration, when confronted with these whispers, Evans's denial is sharp. "Pure slander!" he declares, though an amused glint in his eye belies the pure indignation.
    "Dark Lord? White Lord? Such titles are far too ominous," he counters. "If a title must be given, I would much prefer the 'Beast King'."
    But the wizarding world, ever prone to sensationalism, hears only what it wants. The next day, headlines proclaim not a denial, but a rebranding: the fearsome third-generation Dark Lord has chosen a new moniker.
    A bewildered Evans Kahn is left to wonder, "Wait... when did I ever admit to that?"
