Chapter 501 - 71: Divine Terra Expeditionary Force!_2

They possess unparalleled mobility on the battlefield, with some members able to open ’arbitrary gates’ to traverse the battlefield.

Liqi also saw some other unfamiliar troops, clearly ascendants after the twelfth stage, seemingly not through conventional ascension careers, since some could transfer their injuries to non-essential parts of their bodies.

"It should be the damage transfer ability of the Touch of Flesh and Blood."

The Hunter Battle Group that Liqi was part of once hunted the Touch of Flesh and Blood. Last month, they carried out a mission to clear a nest occupied by the Flesh Mutation, with many Extraordinary Relics sent to the academy, presumably to help ascend these individuals.

Their physical qualities are not as strong as warriors, primarily equipped with light armor, their fighting style akin to Wandering Swordsmen and Deceitful Assassins, but ordinary injuries can’t claim their lives.

Once they ascend, they can transfer fatal injuries at least twice a day, later on, even transferring their injuries to their enemies.

The Star Realm Army nearby is almost fully assembled.

But the rumbling footsteps did not cease, as the incredibly heavy door of the Golem Factory opened.

The Golem Factory is a very prominent landmark throughout the Mechanical Heart Half-Plane, yet for the most part, it remains completely sealed, visible only as materials are brought in in huge quantities daily, never witnessing the Golem Legion truly emerge into the outside world.

Over the past six months, numerous resources have been sent from the mining area, but the Golem Factory only takes in and never out, with nearly no one entering aside from the Invisible Servants.

Steel golems, each about four meters tall, line up and march out.

Liqi couldn’t see their end; there was a high difficulty trial in the academy called ’Ironman Triathlon’, with the final trial requiring a five-man squad to withstand ten minutes under the assault of the steel golems.

Passing the Ironman Triathlon trial allows direct incorporation into other warbands.

At the time, he almost succeeded!

Were it not for the high damage immunity these iron blocks had, Liqi’s jumping slash would absolutely have had a chance to decapitate them. He had executed numerous jumping slashes to decapitate the heads of the Flesh Mutations in subsequent clearing missions, those massive beings akin to the Giant Mutants, standing nearly five meters tall, Liqi’s decisive blow could cleave their heads clean off but did nothing to those damn steel golems.

These damned things are pegged with a standard power assessment of challenge level 13-15, yet the devil instructors made a group of average Extraordinary Level 5 trainees confront them.

Though the instructor verbally assured they were Golem Factory reject products, slow in action, only a fool would believe the drunkard’s words.

Liqi searches the crowd with his gaze.

Quickly, he spots a familiar figure, whose appearance doesn’t immediately reveal a woman’s silhouette, as the Mechanical Heart armor is unisex, requiring chest binding to wear, but he knows she is the woman he admires.

Leticia.

A graduate from the third session, once from logistics, who joined the Hunter Battle Group through her own efforts.

She is a native of the Ring City.

Married.

Has a child.

Her husband died in that Ring City dark ceremony, many within the warband secretly admire her, but all remain restrained because Leticia firmly believes her husband is not dead.

Just this belief makes many swoon, as she’s different from other women.

Leticia is a warrior of Professional Level 8-9, which isn’t particularly outstanding among prior batch ascendants. She isn’t the type to possess innate battle talents either. Early ascending trainees benefited from resource tilts; many reached Extraordinary Level 10 or higher, some even achieved High Tier. Among them, the most renowned, once battle-hardened veterans of the Realm of Reality, directly advanced to level 5 upon digesting Extraordinary Relics, proficient in all military weapons and awakened to combat specialization and instinct.

Compared to these individuals, they lack over a decade of training time; Liqi is considered to ascend relatively swiftly, given his numerous monster killings and glorious battle records, now an 11-level warrior with future prospects of joining the core warband.

Various combat forces known and unknown to Liqi have all assembled.

Yet, before the activated Teleportation Array, when Liqi spots some tall figures draped in black cloaks, his pupils involuntarily contract, his body momentarily trembles.

——Curse-Bound Legion.

Among the most mysterious and powerful warbands in the entire Mechanical Heart Half-Plane, boasting combat strength rivaling that of martyrs, never revealing their true faces externally, forever clad in black cloaks, beneath which lies a unique faceless mask.

They are a group of dead people; strictly speaking, they are individuals resurrected from death.

Liqi knows this because...

During a mission in the Burial Wasteland, his entire squad faced absolute peril; unexpectedly, there lay a hidden Evil Object Lord. Thankfully, their Spiritual Communication Device linked to the tower just in time, thus awaited the rescue squad coming from the Mechanical Heart.

Altogether three individuals, directly exterminating hundreds of Evil Object clans, dismembering the evil object lord resembling a bug-like aggregation into eight pieces.

One individual among them, though he didn’t speak, Liqi knows who he is.

In the assault on the Pillar of Flesh and Blood, Liqi’s squad suffered heavy casualties, their captain, Hall, exchanged his life to eliminate an evil object, ultimately falling in battle within the Great Rift Valley.
