Lord Of Puppets

Two new boss monsters.

The fully manifested guardian of the third dungeon heart – The Cavalry Boss type golem number 1.

And the experimental boss monster – Earth Golem Champion – Boss type number 1.

(These two bosses have no way of holding these bastards down. No freaking chance they would win.) – thought Thauma.

(But that is if they were to fight in the head on fight.)

(My goal isn’t to defeat them with these golems.)

(It is to trap them and then blow them all up.)

(And now? I’m restricting their movements.)

(No matter the option they will chose, they will have hard time moving and they will eventually end up being blown up.)

(That is... If they do figure out something I’m missing... Which in turn could probably just screw over my entire plan and let them all escape.... Yeah... Not letting my guard down just yet.)

The cavalry golem charged in and rammed into the heavy armored black knight with great shield, who tried blocking off the frontal attack, but the metallic behemoth pushed back the fully armored man.

But even so, he didn’t fallen, giving the knight captain a chance to rush in and try to strike the new boss golem, trying to repeat the tactic from before.... But it didn’t worked as the golem swung one of its Halbert polearms at the man, forcing the man to use his sword to block off the attack, before then quickly stepping backwards and barely dodging in time the crossbow bolt which was fired by the boss golem.

(Dammit! Third boss?!) – thought the captain as he raised up his sword, blocking yet another fallow up attack done with Halbert strike, before then backing away further as the golem tried using its hound claws.

(No.... 4?!)

(Does that mean the dungeon has already evolved to the state where it can produce four different boss monsters?!)

(For crying out loud!)

"..."

(No.... This isn’t the worst part.)

(The strategy.)

(That fucking is doing something.)

(Is the dungeon master just confided in the head on fight?)

(Why is he so dead set on having it no matter what?)

(Then again... Maybe it isn’t it either.) – thought the captain as he rushed at the golem and tried striking it, only for the creature to knock back then with its polearms.

The man instantly fired his flying slash of blood at the boss monster, landing a solid blow... But then realizing that the creature defense is annoyingly high as it easily took on the blow.

(....Should we just do it?)

(The head on fight?)

(The bosses are annoying, but the black knights can take them on by themselves.) – thought the black knight as he barely avoided the fury of blows from the massive golem, before moment later the tank black knight stopped the creature in tracks.)

(I can focus on dealing with this bastard all by myself... He will not die easily.... But my attack still damaged him.)

(Meaning I can kill him.)

(But this giant earth golem is bothering me....)

(I mean, we have the explosives just in case... We can probably use them to immobilize or destroy it all together.)

(So.... What should we do?)

(We are strong enough to take on that army of golems... We can probably survive long enough until we will be able to safely get away, if the enemy turns out to have yet another secret weapon.)

(But is this really it?) – thought the man as the boss monster fired its crossbow at the captain, forcing the man to use his blood magic to increase his own speed and barely dodge the bolt as it wounded the man’s arm as it flew by, not just grazing him, but giving somewhat solid bleeding wound.

"Tch!"

(I can’t get careless. This guy is straight up annoying combo of these two previous bosses, and he also has freaking long range weapons equipped which have some power!) – thought the man as he leaped at the golem and quickly got past it while also landing a soldi slash across the upper body of the golem.... But nowhere near enough to even slow down the creature as it tried attacking the man again with its polearms.

"..."

[Try to break through and run away? – Don’t fight in possible still trap filled area.]

[Try and stand your ground, exterminate the enemy here?]

(Honestly, I don’t want to freaking fight here... The enemy leader already shown advance level of the intelligence....)

(But then again, if we were to try to move the whole army now... We would end up getting some heavy harasses.... And that would result in us losing one sidedly soldiers.)

(FUCK! FUCK! FUCK!)

(IF YOU SCREW UP! YOU WILL LOSE SOLDIERS FOR NO FUCKING REASON!)

The man was panicking.

He is keep trying to run away, to play it safe after witnessing Thauma’s strategies... And the man’s way of thinking is correct.

If his army manages to run away and survive, then when they will come back, they will win.

But the man lacked information.

He didn’t knew that his army was almost out of the danger zone. That his army just needed to move a bit more and they are in safe.

The man also didn’t knew that how much cards Thauma had.

Did it had some more boss monsters in reserves?

The man was growing paranoid.

And that was the worst possible thing.

All he needed to do is order retreat.

He may suffer some losses, but it is the best approach in the whole situation.

However, the paranoia, the lack of information, the confusion alongside fear made the man take the "safest option".

"STAND YOUR GROUND!"

"WE FIGHT!"

And the "safest option" in his head was the worst option.

The man thought that it is better to just take on the enemy here instead of possible falling into the dungeon master "trap".... Not knowing that Thauma already revealed all of its cards.

"..."

"YOU HEARD HIM! FUCK THE RUNNING AWAY!" – shouted the black knight with a sword.

"DESTORY THESE FUCKERS HERE AND NOW!"

"!"

"Finaly!" – said excited soldier as the backliners instantly changed their tactic from defending and stalling, to a full-offensive assault as a large-scale battle instantly stared up, causing several soldier golems to be destroyed instantly as the invaders changed up their strategy.

"I WILL DEAL WITH THE FUCKER HERE!" – shouted the knight captain.

"YOU DEAL WITH THE OTHER MONSTERS!"

"AND TELL THOSE BASTARDS TO USE EXPLOSIVES ON THE MASSIVE MOTHERFUCKER OVER THERE! I DON’T WANT TO PULL HIM ANY BULLSHIT!"

"YES SIR!" – replied the black knights who then ran off, leaving the knight captain all alone with the cavalry boss golem.

"Alright you fucker." – said the black knight captain as he covered his sword with blood.

"Let’s fucking dance."

The large-scale battle broke out.

The Crow Watchers were no longer playing it safe and instead went on full offensive, aiming to destroy the army of golems here and now.

And from the get go, the invaders already shown their overwhelming power.

Even average soldier of this elite army was able to survive on their own and even land few solid blows against fully armored golems.

Obviously the injured and fatalities were present on the invader’s side... But the golem army was suffering noticeable bigger amount of casualties.

However, the golems still had 6 bosses on their side.... But although it is said.

The cavalry golem had a one-on-one duel with knight captain, who was able to keep the man completely busy.

The four boss knight monsters were being attacked by the black knights.

And as for the giant earth golem?

Well....

"INCOMING!" – shouted the man as the mountain sized earth golem slammed down its fist, which flattened the area and shook the ground itself.

"DON’T GET HIT BY THIS! OR YOU ARE DEAD AS FUCK!" – shouted the mage.

"You don’t need to fucking tell me that!" – said the black knight in light armor, as she began climbing up the giant golem arm as the creature began lifting up its arm.

The female knight quickly leaped towards the golem head, before then bouncing off it as she threw several cross-sphere devices, which sticked to the golem’s body.

The woman used her knife to stab the tree and help herself get down to safely, before moments later the weird devices exploded, unleashing massive blasts of magical energy that instantly caused ginormous amount of damage to the gigantic golem

*Phew*

"That was so fucking nasty!" – said the female black knight as the golem had now a massive missing part of its body present.... But even so, the golem was still active.

(I guess I didn’t hit the core?) – thought the female knight.

(No matter.)

(I may not have many explosions on me, but I will destroy you before you try doing anything, you overgrown fat bastard!)

So far?

The invaders were winning.

Well, the battle was still nowhere reaching the final stage, not even the halfway point, but based on the current situation and how the battle has been going... The invaders are winning.

...

Well, that is from their perspective.

But in reality?

The one who was heading towards the victory was not them.

It was Thauma.

These soldiers were heading slowly towards their downfall... And they still have no clue how much they screwed up.
