"?!"

"WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON NOW?!" – shouted the knight captain as a massive explosion occurred, which hit several people at once.

"!"

(Wait! I remember reading something about golems using in the past bombs!) – thought the black knight captain as he remembers the part of the report written by the blond-haired party leader.

The hound golems rushed at the soldiers and leaped straight at them.

Some didn’t exploded outright and instead fought the soldiers, but the others that managed to get close to several people? They instantly blew up, causing massive eruption of violent mana, which devasted everything.

Not only that, parts of the golems as well as few spikes which were attached to the golem sides and top were all sent flying like shrapnel, tearing apart anything that got in their way.

The moment single hound golem exploded, it instantly caused massive amount of damage to pop up everywhere, which also resulted in several people getting killed.

"Shit! Mages!" – shouted the black knight.

"LITLE BUSY HERE!" – shouted the earth mage as the hail of projectiles did not stopped for the moment... Even worse, the two boss monsters were getting closer to the army and only the red bow archer with its fire arrows was able to slow them down or stop them in the tracks for even the moment.

"Tch!"

(The hell is going on!?) – thought the red bow archer as he fired another explosive arrow that caused yet another tree to fall down on top of two golems.

(They are recovering way too fast.)

(Not only that, those freaking shields are annoying.)

(They can stop a lot of the frontal attacks.... I need to get behind them and take out their knees like before.)

(But if I try to go towards them, specifically behind them, I will probably end up in the line of fire.)

(I can only focus on fucking them over!) – thought the red bow archer as he then fired at the next tree nearby as the two boss monsters managed to get out of their entrapped position... Only to then have yet another tree falls on top of them right after.

"Tch!"

"THOSE WHO CAN USE MAGIC WHO ISN’T ASSIGNED THE DEFENCE! GET THOSE DOGS THINGS!" – shouted the black knight.

"WE CAN’T LET THOSE THINGS GET CLOSE!"

Some of the soldiers and knights which were capable of casting magic alongside archers tried firing at the incoming hound golems, which did ended up stopping some hounds or just knocking them down, incapacitating them.

However, the moment they started firing, the hound golems instantly switched up their tactic.

They started doing zigzag movement, making them much harder to hit with projectiles.

"!?"

(They adapted!?) – thought the black knight captain as the second wave of the hound golems reached the soldiers and began blowing up right on top of them, causing yet another massive wave of injuries as well as several deaths to occur.

The black knights, who seemed the strongest also seems to be suffering somewhat from explosives.

(Shit! Forget the information! This wasn’t accurate one bit!) – thought the black knight captain as he used [Sword Art: Flying Slash], firing off a sword slash that traversed the air and struck one of the hound golems, giving the mages a chance to bombard the creature and blow it up from afar.

(Traps and now these things? Also, boss monsters appearing out of nowhere?)

(I know that the dungeon master is an intelligent being, but this is too much of a change out of nowhere.... Don’t fucking tell me.)

(It was going easy on the adventurers back then?!) – thought the black knight captain as the tall black knight with great shield suddenly grabbed one of the fallen trees and threw it at the hound golems, hitting on of them... But not all as the two other managed to dodge the attack.

"Dammit! Slippery bastards!" – shouted the tall black knight as he slammed down his shield as the explosion occurred right in front of him.

"WE NEED TO FUCKING MOVE! NOW!" – shouted the tall black knight.

"The hell do you expect us to do?! These fucking suicidal dogs are keeping us in tracks for fuck’s sake!" – shouted the black knight mage as he was using combination of water and wind magic to keep the hound golems at bay.

(For fuck’s sake! How many of those freaking things are there!?) – thought the black knight captain.

The answer?

A lot.

When Thauma was remodeling its dungeon after the adventurers hired by the elves, it had known that its hound golems were quiet "weak" per say.

To be more precise, the idea was good, but the models were not worth it at all as they were being easily taken down by the enemy.

Thauma thought of few ideas how to make them useful, for example make them like knight golems, few, but extremely powerful, or just turn them into fast moving monsters which only posses’ high offensive ability but low durability.

A suicidal golem.

This question caught Thauma interested... Which then made it turn around towards its other creation.

The bug bombs.

A suicidal golem which only purpose is to get close to the enemy and blow up.

And so, Thauma combined both the hound golem design and the bug bomb design in order to create the new type of hound golems.

The [Bomb Hounds].

With the much bigger body, Thauma could store much more mana inside of the golem in order to create much more powerful explosion.

And with the golem learning how to better use mana as well as both item skills and forged skill, including also ability to better use mana crystals and what not for its creativity, the hound golems were made to posses enough force to kill somebody who is wearing a full body armor.

This is a hidden weapon created by Thauma, which it only deploys in the times of need and NEVER lets it wonder on its own, since creating just one hound golem possess extremely high cost.

But even so, Thauma didn’t just made few of them.

No, no, no.

It made a LOT of them.

Because it knew that there may be a situation where it may need a lot of these golems if a massive army were to try and challenge the dungeon.

As of right now, only small number of hound golems blew up on the soldiers... But even so, each explosion caused massive amount of damage which the army wasn’t prepared for one bit.

And even worse, there was still a lot of golems on the standby.

And it wasn’t really the end.

The boss monsters, they were equipped with item skills and forged skills.

Specifically, one skill stood out, a forged skill called [Self Reconstruction].

A forged skill version of the natural special skill known as [Self Repair] that Thauma possess.

This skill ability is simple; it just works the same way as the [Self Repair].

Put the pieces together and pour mana into the detached objects in order to have the body start reconstructions and repair.

The dents and bends will be restored, while any disconnections will be reattached.

An exact copy of the [Self Repair] skill which Thauma had developed in the form of the forged skill.

That skill isn’t really high level or powerful right now, meaning that the time to do even small repairs will obviously take a lot of time... However, the fact remains that they do possess this ability.

And only their legs were damaged to the point where they couldn’t move at the full speed... Which means one thing.

They will be able move sooner or later.

Not only that, the two boss monsters which were trapped beneath the trees also started moving, while also the army of monsters starting getting closer and closer to the soldiers, who were now stuck in their current position.

"..."

(Shit.) – thought the black knight captain.

Thauma may had been caught off guard by the enemy easily going past the boss monsters way too quickly, which proven their overwhelming strength... But the enemy did not expected neither traps or the bomb golems.

These black soldiers and black knights were not over confided for nothing. They are really strong.

Truth to be told, when their golems fell down the pit trap, they should had started seeing some losses on their side, but yet they were able to perfectly hold their ground and turn any casualties into only "damage".

Even when the spiked logs stared coming in, they were still able to stand their ground and quickly immobilize boss monsters, giving the whole army a chance to just ran past them.

However now?

It could be said that they are fucked in their current situation.

The bomb hounds were just that dangerous.

And if they were to continue dealing with them, while the army from behind catch up as well as a chance that more traps could be set off... It is not hard to image in what sort of situation these soldiers would end up in.

...

Unless they also haven’t been going all out from the start.

(God fucking dammit! I thought this would be easy job, but at this rate those fucking idiots will start going left and right.... And I will be the one responsible for that.) – thought the black knight captain.

(I guess I have to take this seriously now.) – thought the black knight captain as he used his own sword to cut his palm causing a blood to pour out... But not in usually way as the bloody began attaching itself to the blade, specific the edge.

The man swung his sword, unleashing a flying slash of blood which hit one of the hound golems and instantly destroyed them right on the spot.

"DON’T HOLD ANYTHING BACK! DESTORY THESE FUCKING BOMBS BEFORE THEY SWARM US COMPLETELY!" – shouted the black knight captain.

"..."

(Is that....Blood magic?) – thought Thauma as it saw the whole scene.
