Chapter 220: Evolved Chimera IV
Battle 8
A Fire Chimera stood on all fours, aggression clearly visible on its face.
Facing it were Lila, Altheria and Delyra from Divatrix, and Lyss from The Horizon.
Altheria was the leader of Divatrix, a charismatic and disciplined woman known as The Crystal Queen. However, on the battlefield, she could be more ruthless than anyone else. She wielded Crystal Magic and used a weapon named Eclipser, a legendary katana made from three rare crystal materials. Each material had a different effect, which Altheria could activate thanks to her affinity for the crystal element.
Delyra was the youngest member of Divatrix and a celebrated prodigy, renowned not only within the Kingdom of Cero but across the world. Despite her stoic demeanor, her unwavering work ethic and incredible skill had made her a rising star. Her dual-wielding katana techniques and martial arts prowess had earned her both respect and admiration. Both her katanas were legendary weapons that granted her additional abilities. They were named Scaling Edge and Phantom.
Lyss, meanwhile, was a bow user who wielded the fire element. She was the only ranged attacker in this group. Just like her fighting style, she had an explosive personality. Even when using her bow, she rarely bothered to maintain her distance from her opponents. Instead, she often closed the gap herself and fired arrows at close range whenever she got the opportunity. Despite being a bow user, she could also fight with her bare fists, making her a truly frightening opponent.
Lyss was the first to make a move.
She drew her bow and fired an explosive arrow straight toward the Chimera. The arrow struck the beast directly, but it didn't seem to cause any damage.
In response, the Chimera launched an explosive orb toward her.
Lyss immediately fired another arrow, and the two attacks collided in midair, creating a massive explosion.
It seemed that the Chimera had locked onto Lyss as its primary target, and she was more than ready to blow the beast apart as well.
Both sides began launching multiple arrows and explosive orbs, only for their attacks to collide and explode in the air.
Meanwhile, Lila, Altheria, and Delyra simply watched as the opening exchange unfolded.
The eighth battle had begun.

Battle 9
A Thunder Chimera, consisting of a Cheetah, Deer, and Falcon, stood before its opponents, electricity crackling around its body.
Facing it were Gaelra, Eryndra, and Brynna from Divatrix, alongside Silas from Iron Squad.
Gaelra was a half-giant powerhouse of Divatrix, combining overwhelming physical strength with a childlike personality. Standing seven feet tall, she had an extremely muscular yet proportionate build. Her weapon of choice was a massive, indestructible gauntlet that amplified the power of her punches. The gauntlet was custom-made to suit her giant heritage and adorned with ancient runes that glowed whenever her power reached its peak.
Eryndra was the calm, wise, and nurturing backbone of Divatrix. She was an elf who had lived a long life, yet she had never lost her youthful energy. She wielded the energy element and used a sleek, enchanted bow crafted from ancient elven wood. The bow could channel her energy magic into devastating attacks.
Brynna was the lively and sassy tomboy of Divatrix, known for her free-spirited attitude and unconventional combat style. She wielded a massive, heavy hammer that would have been too unwieldy for most people, but Brynna handled it with effortless precision. Alongside her weapon, she also possessed a skill called "Weight Manipulation."
And then there was Silas. Silas was a very handsome young man from a royal background still in his teens. He had already developed a habit of avoiding responsibility. He was a fearful person who believed that whatever position he held was simply because of his royal status. What he failed to recognize was his own skill, as he constantly underestimated his abilities. He wielded a rifle and could use both the thunder and wind elements.
Given the situation, Silas was more worried about being grouped with three girls and failing to live up to their expectations than he was about facing the Chimera.
As the battle began, the three girls immediately engaged the Chimera.
Silas, however, simply stood there silently.
The girls assumed that he was waiting for them to create an opening so that he could shoot the beast.
Silas, on the other hand, was hoping that the three girls would defeat the Chimera themselves without him having to do anything.
And so, the ninth battle began with three fighters ready to fight and one hoping he wouldn't have to.

Battle 10
A Nature Chimera, formed from a Bear, Wolf, and Treant, stood against Cairn from Deadwatch and the twin brothers Ronan and Kaizen from Prime Heroes.
Cairn came from a lineage of half-vampires, possessing traits of both humans and vampires. He used the blood element, manipulating his own blood to fight, and wielded needles as his weapons. His vampire heritage also granted him the ability to transform into a bat and regenerate. He had a silent demeanor, and his fighting style was equally quiet and restrained.
Ronan and Kaizen, meanwhile, were twin brothers who were complete opposites of each other.
Ronan wielded a war hammer and used the light element. He had an extremely extroverted personality, and his fighting style was just as outgoing.
Kaizen, on the other hand, wielded dual katanas and used the shadow element. He was highly introverted and preferred working alone, with one exception, his brother, who was always dragging him into groups. Unlike Ronan, Kaizen had a very disciplined fighting style.
As the battle began, Ronan and Kaizen flawlessly engaged the Chimera, giving it almost no opportunity to respond.
The chemistry between the two brothers alone was enough to overwhelm the beast.
After observing them for a while, Cairn decided to match their rhythm and join their coordinated assault.
However, the Chimera had finally had enough.
In frustration, it extended its vines toward all three fighters, attempting to restrain them before forcefully sending them flying backward.
Ronan looked at the other two and smiled confidently, as though he already knew that they would win this battle.

Battle 11
A Shadow Chimera, formed from a Lion, Hyena, and Bat, stood as the opponent of Vaela, Ruvan, Qyra, and Hira.
Ruvan took the lead on the frontline, with Hira assisting him. Vaela prepared to attack from a distance, while Qyra took on the support role.
The Chimera made the first move, releasing multiple shadow rays toward all four fighters.
Qyra immediately used her light element to protect herself and Ruvan. However, Ruvan paid little attention to the incoming attacks and rushed forward, determined to close the distance between himself and the Chimera.
Meanwhile, Hira used her magma element to purge the incoming shadow rays, while Vaela fired ice arrows to block them.
The four fighters began responding to the Chimera in their own ways, and the eleventh battle was underway as well.
