Chapter 575 - 348: Buying Goats
Since they planned to spend the New Year in Nanyang Prefecture before returning home, there have been quite a few shopping trips recently.

Wei Ziang laughed, "Aunty, don’t worry, I know."
But even after saying this, he turned and went back inside.
Jiang Hu’s wife didn’t know what else to say, so she just shook her head and went to tend to the goats. The day after tomorrow was the ninth birthday of Xiao Mi and Xiao Wei, and she needed to prepare properly.
Meanwhile, once Xiao Mi ran far enough, she glanced back, ensured no one was following, and finally felt relieved.

"Child, whose kid are you, running here?" An old uncle by the roadside called out to Xiao Mi.

"Grandpa, I’m here to buy goats. I heard your village has many, and I want to buy a few." She said, pointing to the nearby hillside, where the animals were visible up close.
The old uncle looked at her skeptically, "You, a little child, want to buy goats?"
Xiao Mi tilted her chin, looking proudly at the old uncle, "Grandpa, don’t underestimate me. I have money. I know these goats are expensive, and I brought money specifically."
She said, patting her money bag by her waist heavily.
It was the same bag her father and brother brought back for her after selling their catch.
Though the large silver ingot and silver note were kept in space, the bag held a fair amount of broken silver, making a tempting jingling sound.
The old uncle didn’t think too much of it, just chuckling, "I hear you, got money, but girl, if you buy them, you’ll have to take them home yourself. I won’t deliver."
Xiao Mi was surprised, "Grandpa, are those goats yours?"
The old uncle tossed away the hay in his hand, "Yes, girl, what’s your name, coming alone to buy? Where are your family? Aren’t they worried about you getting scammed?"
Xiao Mi hadn’t expected to meet the owner right away.
Hearing these questions, she replied cheerfully, "I’m Xiao Mi. I can tell grandpa won’t deceive me. My parents don’t know; I wanted to secretly buy them."
The old uncle shook his head with a smile, "You’re a sweet-talker, Xiao Mi. Come with me then, I’ll take you to see the goats."
