Absolute Beast Dominion

Chapter 755: Universe Will

Chapter 755: Universe Will

> Dragon God Heliovar’s Divinity has seeped into the Host’s soul, allowing the God Beast to mark the Host’s existence and keep it under the God’s notice until the essence is cleansed.

Leo supported Lily and used his healing skills to speed up the process while debating internally with the system.

Isn’t it dangerous then? Leo asked.

> Not in the direct sense. The divine essence is present in an extremely trace amount, which can only act as a marker. But if the Dragon God sees Host as a threat, he can issue elimination quests to his subjects and try to eliminate Host indirectly.

Leo asked a few questions about why the god couldn’t act directly, but the system didn’t respond.

But what if this... whatever the quest thing is, is given to a higher-strength being than me? Doesn’t that guarantee my death?

> Not possible.

The system simply responded with that. When Leo asked why, it said nothing.

What methods can I use to avoid having these quests issued against me?

> Cleansing of Divinity Essence will make the Host completely invisible to the subject god unless he actively start looking through their subjects or use special authority.

Leo thought about it for a while and concluded he wasn’t in any danger.

His reasoning was that the Dragons should be in some kind of truce with humans for this competition to occur in the first place, and he wouldn’t be hunted just because he was winning... right?

Leo then came to the next important question.

Wait... Shouldn’t I have the Divine essence of God Beast Sanguor if he gifted me the system? In that case, I should have the necessary means to counter God Beast Heliovar’s Divine essence! Leo suddenly had a thought.

> The ’Primordial Beast Dominion System’ is a gift to Host. Nothing more.

Huh? How does that work? Leo asked.

> Though the system can act as a communication medium when a God Beast wants to contact the Host by using the same authorities used when the gift was given for the first time, as of now, Host hasn’t done anything that would allow the Divine essence to be held in his being.

Wait, wait, wait. Then what are you? Aren’t you supposed to be a creation of God Beast?

> Not exactly. I am a fragment of the Universe Will that had been transformed by God Beast Sanguor’s authority and programmed to act as a guide to the Host.

Leo didn’t understand any of that. And leaving that aside, wasn’t the system talking too much? If he had asked the same questions a few months ago, Leo wouldn’t have received a single answer.

Does me getting closer to World Baptism have something to do with this? Leo thought.

Leo asked another question. This one was very important to him.

Does that mean... I have complete rights over the system, and I can do whatever I want with you?

> No. The Host doesn’t possess the necessary authority and knowledge for that to happen.

> Additionally, God Beast Sanguor has attached a crucial ’existential bank’ under his authority, which allows the Host to gain stat points through the system after each level up. This makes the system partly God Beast Sanguor’s property.

Another answer went straight over Leo’s head, and he understood nothing. Though he did catch on to one thing.

Yeah... I do lack information.

Skeeeeaaaahhhhhhh!!!

Before Leo could continue his debate with the system, a loud screech pulled his attention back.

It was the Zephyrax, on the verge of death after the Divine Astra attack.

It barely held its spirit body together and its half-formed spirit core intact as it struggled to maintain flight.

Leo found the perfect opportunity to get more experience points.

He immediately shot up towards the spirit beast, but internally, he felt great.

Because apparently, God Beast Sanguor seemed more like his sponsor than someone controlling his life.

Like using his resources to help Leo gain strength without actually doing anything that would put him in danger.

"Well... Now that I am aware of gods capable of giving ’quests’ to their subjects, I wonder if I might get any sometime," he thought while using [Solarflare Cataclysm] on Zephyrax.

If his theory of a sponsor was correct, the end goal would be to boost the God Beast’s name or something similar. In other words, Leo might get something that required him to act on the god’s behalf and, when the job was complete, put the god’s name forward.

Because it seemed that the Gods were blocked by something that didn’t allow them to interfere personally with anything.

A more dangerous line of thinking would be to prepare Leo for a fight. But if he was being strengthened for it, he might as well do it—of course, after gaining adequate strength.

Ding!

Zephyrax [Spirit] (Pseudo 5-star) killed — 100,000 XP

[Killing a Spirit grants half the experience points of a physical beast.]

Level 32: 1,740,000 -> 1,840,000 / 2,000,000

"Hm?"

Leo saw a flickering round object fall through the sky as the Zephyrax’s spirit form dissolved into the air.

Half-formed Zephyrax Spiritcore (Pseudo 5-star >>> Mid 4-star) - Super Bloodline

[Rank regression due to incomplete spiritcore.]

> Destroy to gain Experience points.

Seeing the notification, Leo understood why killing a spirit granted only half the experience points. Apparently, half of it was supposed to be stored in the spirit core.

He recalled how Professor Lu’s Half-Spirit Phoenix could be revived. There was a high chance that even Zephyrax could be revived using the spirit core.

"Oh well... Lily can simply do it without complicated procedures."

Leo stored the core away without destroying it and turned to see Lily already preparing to attack the surviving dragons.

BRRRUUUUUMMM!!!

Suddenly, the ground below erupted as the Soilworm Lily had summoned emerged. It had survived after digging deep into the ground.

Unfortunately, Ironfeather Roc didn’t survive, and his spirit had permanently died.

Vulcarion and Vorthak were scrambling towards Azrakar’s crashing location, where he remained unconscious and half-submerged in the cooling molten rock.

The other dragons were similarly collecting themselves. Surprisingly, a member of Aurelius Academy had also survived.

Thalvyr.

He was terribly injured, but still holding on as he found a platform to stand on. It had formed when the molten rock cooled faster because Miho and Marco had used their ice abilities to block the sun flames right there. This made the area there cooler.

"Time to end this," Leo muttered while summoning Agnivar and telling him to retrieve Thalvyr.

He was already beside Lily, who nodded in agreement. The last burns on her body had completely closed and she was back.

"Solvyr, use [Dual Aspect Manifestation]."
