Chapter 753: Boon And Divine Astra - 4
Chapter 753: Boon And Divine Astra - 4
"What is he doing...?" Leo muttered in utter confusion as an extremely hostile energy targeted towards him suddenly appeared around Azrakar.
Leo tried punching Azrakar with all his strength once again.
BOOOOOOMM!!
The explosion immediately threw Azrakar even higher into the sky, but he continued whatever he was doing without even attempting to block or dodge the attack.
"—R$#t%r*. H@l&*v%#. ^p*% y!u% prim!*d&a$ m%w an! @nl#a!?h t#e br#at! t$at e*^s @!l t#in!s!"
Whatever Azrakar muttered after the salutation was completely incomprehensible to Leo. But he knew better than to stay close to whatever dangerous energy emanated around Azrakar.
In the Emperor’s chamber...
Both Louis and Cyrandel raised their hands lazily from their armrests as their fingers glowed with elemental energies of various colours.
They were actually controlling the artefact’s effects personally.
Cyrandel controlled [Heaven’s Wrath] and [Ironroot Cataclysm], while Louis controlled [Voidshade Veil]. This was needed because an advanced enough technology to craft, which left a handful of people unaffected in the domain region, was yet to be developed properly.
It needed advanced research on souls, which obviously wasn’t that great.
Aurex sat casually, as no one had bought artefacts that required his powers.
As for them making other people, like Professors and principals, do it, they didn’t. In the end, even they needed something interesting to pass the time, and this was it. And here, they could also keep an eye out for anyone who tried to be sneaky and sabotage others.
Though after seeing Azrakar on the screen, Louis narrowed his eyes.
"A boon from your god?" he asked, looking towards Aurex.
Aurex simply looked back with a plain expression.
"Who knows..."
Aurex chose not to respond. Such things shouldn’t be disclosed until the recipient was strong enough to defend himself and the knowledge.
But Louis and Cyrandel knew better, especially after sensing the Divine energy.
"Looks like he received two things. I knew that defence was not ordinary," Cyrandel remarked.
"Yeah, that defensive trait boon and this Astra incantation," Louis continued, looking towards Aurex.
"Though it seems otherwise, your kid must be highly disciplined and prayed faithfully for the boon, no?"
Aurex looked towards him. Since the fact was already revealed even without him speaking, he might as well flaunt it.
"Actually, yes. 10 years, 6 months and 4 days of seclusion without food and water, with continuous meditation in the meantime."
He looked at Louis as if showing superiority.
"In the end, he has my blood. Though when he came out, he was even weaker than a wall-crawling lizard... or so my assistant said."
Then he shook his head.
"But as you know, people get arrogant after gaining power; this is an exact case."
"I mean, he is your blood," Cyrandel said, his words back at him, making Aurex click his tongue.
"Not to mention, he is wasting his 10 years of penance over a competition."
Louis nodded, though he was a bit confused.
"10 years is quite a small time, don’t you think?" he asked.
"Well, the multiplying demons are to blame. You already know the gods are being lenient and choosing any body with high potential, even if the subject isn’t aware of them."
Cyrandel sighed.
"If only they chose more people other than the beasts and beastkins."
Aurex scoffed.
"Why don’t you become gods yourselves and bless your people? Don’t try to be freeloaders. The Beast World Core choosing to create and giving your worlds the right to distribute the [Beast Taming] talent is enough of a grace.
"Not to mention, only extremely strong gods can spread their influence to other races."
He then looked at the screen.
"You both should be lucky that this kid caught the eye of one such god. They are busy as it is, making even 1 extremely lucky. You humans actually got two chances."
He looked back at Louis.
"And be sure to carefully impart the necessary knowledge to him before he ends up making that foolish decision like your one son with the soul talent did."
He rubbed his forehead in exasperation, as if recalling it was making him stupider.
"Who chooses to be a hero when there was an option to become a god?"
Aurex chuckled right after.
"A decision so bad, I bet even the god who laid eyes on him feels stupid."
Aurex looked at Louis, who had simply closed his eyes. Even he knew how foolish a decision it was.
"Don’t tell me he didn’t align with Beast World Core because of some stupid patriotism for his race?"
Louis nodded slowly, and Aurex shook his head.
"Though it’s respectable in normal circumstances, right now, it’s just a fool’s decision. Especially when Beast World Core is the one who has allowed you all to survive up to now."

At the fight’s location...
The feeling Leo was getting from the energy surrounding Azrakar was so dangerous that he felt the need to leave nearly 10 kilometres of the vicinity around him.
But of course, that wasn’t going to happen.
’Everyone! Prepare for defence, create distance and stay alert! Fruder! Deploy the [Gravitational Calamity] artefact right now!’ Leo barked the orders, leaving no room for questions about why he was saying it.
Grrrruuuummmmmmm~
The dragons immediately felt the pressure in the surrounding area, their wings straining as they tried to fly.
One hybrid dragon was even violently pulled down by the extreme gravity affecting only him.
They also watched the humans, instead of using this opportunity to attack, create distance.
---
[Gravitational Calamity]
Range: 5 km diameter
Duration: 10 minutes
- Increases and constantly fluctuates the gravitational force throughout the entire region.
- Random Intervals: Random enemies are suddenly subjected to extreme gravity, crushing them toward the ground.
- Every 3 Minutes: A massive gravitational pulse erupts from the centre, violently forcing all enemies toward the ground.
Allies remain completely unaffected.
---
At Leo’s place, his eyes were left wide.
Because what was happening in front of him was simply unfathomable.
After Azrakar finished chanting whatever it was he was saying, the sky lit up with a blinding yellow light that radiated intense heat throughout the surroundings. It was enough to set the tops of the tall trees instantly on fire.
Even the surrounding mana began to deplete rapidly, halting the progress of Zephyrax’s body repair and spirit core formation.
The range was wide enough that even if Leo and the other students tried to run, the phenomenon would catch them.
At the same moment, Leo’s system flared up.
