The Dark Dragon said that the Deus People inherited the power of the Primordial Being and also mastered part of the Spirit Casting Art, but they are long since no longer as mighty as the Primordial Being. "Eternal King Esso chose to incarnate in flesh, and even learned from other Races to keep a harem of concubines. Could they be his descendants?" Li Ang speculated.

"While that cannot be entirely ruled out, in our memory he and those concubines of various Races never birthed any offspring, so the possibility is low," Brigitte said.

"I feel their origin is similar to their ability to create Star Souls," Thanatos brought up Star Souls again.

Li Ang did not understand what the Dark Dragon meant, and waited in Silence for him to continue.

"To wield the Creation Formula to extract a portion of a Great Spirit and shape it into a Giant Beast—this Technique does not look like something the Deus People, who still had to rely on slaves to build cities, were capable of pioneering."

"You mean the creation of Star Souls also descends from the Eldest Son of God?"

"That is how I see it. This technology was pioneered by a certain Primordial Being. He simultaneously created the Deus People who share a part of his Power. After the Primordial Beings either fell or were exiled, that group of Deus People survived carrying his legacy."

Li Ang fell silent. This conjecture had its logic, and before learning the truth, it could not be overturned.

The reason the Dark Dragon did not believe the Deus People possessed such wisdom was because their other technological level was limited. Thinking of it this way, the Dark Night Ancient City, that Deus People ruin, really was built like the city of an ordinary civilization, utterly on a different tier from the Crystal Sanctuary Li Ang had personally seen.

Moreover, the mastermind behind the Eye of God should be the Demon of the Eye, who with high probability was once the Blue Crystal Double eyed Divine Spirit Gorum that followed behind Zosia. The Eye of God, as a Demon Worshiper, also knew how to manipulate Star Souls. This further corroborates that the method of Star Soul manufacture came from the Primordial Beings.

"Then which Primordial Being was it that created them?" Lily asked at the side.

Though she had not taken part in the earlier phase of adventure in the Land of Ten Thousand Spirits, both before and this time, she had listened with great interest to the tale of Li Ang and Diao Yinanna’s experiences.

"Could it possibly be Zosia Shahar..."

Li Ang had just opened his mouth when Annette beside him suddenly shot into the air and kicked him in the face.

This little green Douding imp now did not dare use too much force; the kick itself was not very strong, yet it still sent him staggering backward.

Annette’s childlike-beautiful face scrunched up in anger; she gnashed her teeth and said, "You trash fish, don’t think you’re so impressive just because you inherited his bizarre, tricky Weapon Spirit Casting Art. Now I command an entire ocean and half the continent’s winds, I won’t be scared of you!"

"What do you mean?" Li Ang did not understand.

"Just as after the world shattered, we had to sleep for a thousand years to restore our Power, Inanna relied on Demonization to break free of the Curse upon the Earth and reconnect herself to the Earth. All her activity is borne entirely by the Earth—this is also why her true body’s movements do not cause instability in the world," Agni explained.

Brigitte continued, "However, to adapt to this process, she must repeatedly sleep and awaken. I know the two of you have formed some sort of relationship akin to a Contract with a mortal, but you’ll have to separate at intervals."

"How long does each sleep last?" Li Ang asked with a frown.

If the duration of slumber were measured on the same scale as the Dragon God’s former times, then in his brief mortal lifetime there might no longer be any Inanna at all.

"About a month each time, since this is not from injury, merely adapting to new Power," Thanatos observed the Earth Dragon and made his estimation.
