Miss Evil Scientist's Evil Plan for Today

Chapter 197 : Chapter 197

197

Lu Zheng had imagined things quite nicely in his head, but unfortunately, reality never moved according to imagination.

He had overlooked one thing.

Yi Ning had brought Lu Zheng to bed on the basis that she “felt too guilty letting him sleep on the floor while she slept on the bed.”

No matter how many steps down Lu Zheng tried to offer her, unless he could completely convince Yi Ning—genuinely, from the heart—that sleeping on the floor was better than sharing the bed, she absolutely would not go along with it and agree to let him sleep on the floor.

Even if lying in bed would attract a meteor over a hundred kilometers in diameter, it wouldn’t matter.

“Look. You’re worried that if I sleep in bed, I might do something bad to you. I’m worried that if I sleep in bed, I might do something bad to you. That makes us on the same side, right?”

Unfortunately, Lu Zheng didn’t grasp this point and even stupidly attempted to persuade Yi Ning with such simple words.

The result was obvious.

It was like a tyrant sending a signal to his pampered concubine saying, “Tonight, I’ll f*** you till you drop, you little firecracker.”

Yi Ning waved her hand grandly and immediately vetoed his idea.

“You just stay in that blanket and don’t you dare go anywhere!”

What an overbearing demand!

Yi Ning swiftly lifted the blanket.

Wearing that somewhat ill-fitting sleepwear, every now and then a sliver of skin-colored temptation peeked out from between the folds, and the slender collarbone above the neckline constantly revealed an elegant silhouette.

Lu Zheng’s eyes nearly didn’t know where to rest.

At this moment, Lu Zheng’s Lower House was initiating a motion for a full standing ovation thanks to that fleeting glimpse of spring.

And truly, it was thanks to that motion—Otherwise, Lu Zheng might’ve been completely overpowered by the intense domineering aura Yi Ning was giving off, and fallen to femininity with a crunch!

Hearing Yi Ning’s domineering command, Lu Zheng instantly gave up on his original idea of “how about I grab the spare blanket from the wardrobe.”

Yi Ning’s message was perfectly clear.

She wanted to sleep under the same blanket with him.

This matter would not change just because of his personal thoughts.

That alone completely crushed Lu Zheng’s idea of sleeping separately.

And at this moment, Lu Zheng committed another massive mistake.

A mistake every normal teenager might make—a mistake called feeling a little too good about oneself.

Yi Ning so forcefully wanted to sleep in the same bed, under the same blanket with him—could it be that she was using “guilt” as an excuse, but really intended to forcibly claim his body?

Such an unbelievably stupid thought—one that you couldn’t even come up with unless you were drunk—actually wormed its way into Lu Zheng’s brain and refused to leave.

Even worse, Lu Zheng voiced this thought out loud, trying to pass it off as a joke to ease the tension between him and Yi Ning.

“Is your brain broken?”

As expected, he was met with all sorts of ridicule from Yi Ning.

Yi Ning propped herself up on the bed with arms crossed, turning sideways to look at Lu Zheng with complete disdain on her face.

Still, Lu Zheng had ultimately achieved his goal.

Such idiotic words and actions naturally made Yi Ning laugh.

She curled her lips.

Then two bursts of “haha” slipped out uncontrollably.

“Is your brain broken?!”

Yi Ning repeated.

The mocking laughter instantly shattered the previously stiff atmosphere. All those romantic fantasies vanished, and the room was now filled with cheerful air.

Yi Ning began pointing fingers at Lu Zheng.

“You actually imagined that this great one had a crush on you… hahahahaha…”

“You should’ve told that joke at dinner. Then we wouldn’t have needed ice in our drinks tonight.”

“When we were playing cards, you should’ve whipped out your ID and a copy—then in the final round, you could’ve used it as a royal flush, the ultimate decoration to this lady’s perfect victory tonight!”

“Purebred clown! Go back to Gotham already—Batman says he won’t beat you up anymore!”

“Hahahahahaha!!”

Yi Ning launched into a full-blown roast of Lu Zheng.

Maybe after seeing the red and white shifts on Lu Zheng’s face, she realized she was going a little overboard with the mocking. Yi Ning took a deep breath, trying to suppress her laughter.

Endure… Endure harder…

But how could she possibly hold it in with something this funny?

Yi Ning once again pointed at Lu Zheng and unleashed another wave of relentless ridicule.

“Sorry for calling you a clown earlier.”

“You’re not just a clown—you are the whole circus!”

Even with the best temper, Lu Zheng couldn’t possibly endure such humiliation from Yi Ning.

He took a deep breath and opened his mouth, wanting to defend himself.

It wasn’t just because he was full of himself that he had such thoughts!

“It’s only because you insisted I sleep under the same blanket with you!”

Lu Zheng angrily pointed his finger at Yi Ning.

Sleep under the same blanket?

A slight blush crept up on Yi Ning’s cheeks.

It’s not like she wanted to sleep in the same blanket with him—it was only because there really wasn’t another blanket…

Yi Ning suddenly felt cold hands and feet, and the smile on her face instantly vanished.

She had actually…

Forgot there was a second blanket!

This was a catastrophic blunder!

As a super super super super genius evil scientist, she had actually forgotten about the blanket she herself had put into the wardrobe!

The clown… was her all along!

If Lu Zheng found out about this… all that mocking she had just thrown at him…

In her mind, Yi Ning fell to her knees, clutching her head, and let out a cry of despair.

She would definitely be mocked back tenfold!

In an instant, a decision took shape in Yi Ning’s mind—Lu Zheng must never find out about this!

Yi Ning immediately changed her expression, drawing on the expert acting skills she’d acquired at Evil University and went into full performance mode!

She folded her arms and turned to face Lu Zheng.

“Hmph!”

“Utterly foolish!”

Yi Ning snorted coldly, her chin held arrogantly toward Lu Zheng.

“This king was merely showing you a bit of mercy in light of your loyal service for so long. It was nothing more than a generous little perk—and to think you dared give rise to such presumptuous thoughts!”

“If you truly cannot restrain your vile desires, then go get the other blanket yourself and cover up over there!”

With that, Yi Ning turned over, showing the back of her head to Lu Zheng.

But not long after, she turned back again, pointed a finger right at Lu Zheng’s nose, and firmly reiterated her bottom line:

“Remember, absolutely not getting out of bed!”

Then she turned over again, closed her eyes, and said nothing more.

She was afraid saying too much would make Lu Zheng suspicious.

“Uh… hey…”

Lu Zheng reached out, wanting to explain a bit more, but no matter what he said, Yi Ning didn’t respond, as if she was truly angry over the whole thing.

Wait a minute… so am I allowed to get out of bed to fetch another blanket or not??

There was no helping it.

Lu Zheng could only obey Yi Ning’s command—not getting out of bed—and obediently nestled under the half of the blanket she had left for him.

As a side note: Not getting out of bed to fetch the spare blanket was absolutely not due to Lu Zheng’s personal desire to share a blanket with Yi Ning out of some lewd intent.

It was purely about respecting Yi Ning’s instruction of “absolutely not getting out of bed.”
