Chapter 1005 - 1047: Old Woman
Ling Yueyue put on a serious face and said, "The past is the past, now is now! This room no longer belongs only to your dad, half of it belongs to me! So, please knock before you come in from now on! You need my permission to enter!"
"Why should I listen to you? I won’t listen to you! Hmph...! I only listen to my dad!" As he spoke, Huo Jiantian pouted and tilted his head to one side.
Seeing Huo Jiantian shift the issue to Huo Junmo, Ling Yueyue grinned and looked towards Huo Junmo, "What do you think we should do, darling?"
Huo Junmo put on a stern face and said seriously, "Tiantian, she is your mother and has the right to educate you, you should listen to her! From today on, I don’t want to hear what you just said anymore!"
Huo Jiantian, still pouting, protested, "What if she says bad things? Should I listen to those too?"
Huo Junmo replied, "If you think it’s bad, unsure if you should listen, you can ask me again! But her recent words were right! Before, this room was mine alone, you came and went as you pleased, and I wouldn’t say anything! But now, the room isn’t just mine, it’s half hers! So she has the right to speak, got it?"
Though his dad’s words made sense, he was unwilling to be reprimanded in front of the ’wicked stepmother,’ Huo Jiantian pouted, looking aggrieved, "Dad, you’re biased! Ever since you married the wicked stepmother, you’ve liked me less! Everything favors her!"
Huo Junmo frowned and said, "I support whoever is right! If she isn’t, I won’t side with her either!"
"...!" Having heard this, Huo Jiantian couldn’t say anything more, resorting to pouting and looking pitifully at Ling Yueyue and Huo Junmo.
Seeing through Huo Jiantian’s act, Ling Yueyue was immune to his expressions and unyieldingly showed him the door, "Can you leave now? Your dad and I have things to do!"
Taking in Ling Yueyue’s bold claim of couple’s private time, Huo Junmo couldn’t help but glance at her!
With a huffy cold snort, Huo Jiantian pouted, "Hmph, don’t think I don’t know what you’re up to! You just want to do what I interrupted earlier!"
Ling Yueyue raised an eyebrow defiantly, "What if that’s true?"
Huo Jiantian clenched his teeth, glaring at Ling Yueyue, who remained unafraid and smiled back at him.
Suddenly, a change came over Huo Jiantian’s face, transforming unexpectedly into a smile! He quickly closed the door and dashed to the bed, clinging to a blanket, unyieldingly declaring, "I’m sleeping with Dad tonight, I’m not leaving!"
On hearing this, Ling Yueyue couldn’t hold back, "Huo Jiantian, what’s this supposed to mean?"
"I’m scared, I don’t dare sleep alone, I want to sleep with Dad!" With that, Huo Jiantian closed his eyes pretending to sleep!
In reality, for someone who grew up sleeping alone, solitary sleep was nothing! But after spending last night with Dad and the wicked stepmother, he felt familial warmth for the first time! He started to enjoy the warmth of a family!
Just now, alone in his small room, he found sleep eluding him! So he wanted to sleep with Dad and the wicked stepmother!
Upon entering, he saw them kissing!
He couldn’t let the wicked stepmother snatch his dad away! Thus, he resolved firmly to stay and sleep here!
"Huo Jiantian...!" Seeing him sprawled on the bed, Ling Yueyue’s rage reached its limit!
This brat must be doing it on purpose!
They were only three days married, and on two of those days he barged in feigning fear and demanding to squeeze onto their bed!
He just didn’t want her to have a blissful wedding night!
Three days in, and she and Huo Junmo hadn’t even touched fingers, they finally touched lips, and he barged in! Ruined the blissful atmosphere irrevocably! Absolutely infuriating!
Her roaring and shouting seemed to fall on deaf ears as Huo Jiantian clung to the blanket, eyes closed, continuing pretended slumber!

"It’s late, let’s sleep!" Huo Junmo stroked Ling Yueyue’s head!
After the commotion, their hair was almost dry!
Gritting her teeth at the sleeping Huo Jiantian, laying on the bed, Ling Yueyue clenched her slender hands into fists! After a while, she shut her eyes, took a deep breath, and pushed down her anger, loosened grip around Huo Junmo’s neck, and fetched a sheep-patterned pajama from the wardrobe to change!
When she emerged in pajamas, Huo Junmo flinched, a twitch playing at his lips and brows unwillingly!
Consuming his mind, Ling Yueyue failed to notice Huo Junmo’s surprise, sulkily laid in bed! Eyeing the nearby sleeping brat, wishing to boot him to the floor!
Huo Junmo changed his pajamas too, turned off the light, and lay down on Huo Jiantian’s other side!
This made the trio genuinely resemble a happy family of three.

The next day, Ling Yueyue was sweetly sleeping but woke up from laughter!
Ling Yueyue opened bleary eyes, habitually rubbed them, tossed her mussed hair, puzzledly searching for the source of laughter!
Turned out, Huo Junmo had disappeared, but Huo Jiantian lay laughing exaggeratedly, pointing at her, clutching his stomach, laughing to the point of rolling back and forth!
Ling Yueyue yawned lazily, "Did you take the wrong medication? What’s so funny?"
Amid exaggerated laughter, Huo Jiantian said, "Haha, you’re so childish! Wearing sheep pajamas at your age cracks me up! Absolutely hilarious!"
Ling Yueyue peered where he pointed and gazed down at her chest!
Unconcerned, Ling Yueyue said, "What’s wrong with these pajamas? It shows I keep my childhood innocence! With how you fuss, aren’t you wearing a much stronger pajama!"
"I’m only five, wearing strong pajamas is normal! You’re old, sheep pajamas aren’t right!" Huo Jiantian kept exaggeratedly laughing until tears formed.
The first time someone called her old, Ling Yueyue jumped from bed, "You brat, what did you say? How am I old?"
Oblivious of Ling Yueyue’s darkening gaze, impending danger, Huo Jiantian foolishly continued, "Aren’t you old? So advanced in years yet won’t admit it!"
