Wizard: Starting from the Skill Tree

Chapter 638: Sand Servant

The Duke manipulated his spiritual power to search for and contact those relatively calm, structurally simple streams of information.

As long as he maneuvered his spiritual power to avoid the turbulent streams, they wouldn’t take the initiative to contact his spiritual power either.

The mental space within the tablet seemed endless, vast beyond measure.

After what felt like a long century of searching and avoiding, the Duke finally found a stream of information that matched his current strength and chose to make contact.

Upon contacting this stream, the Duke realized that it wasn’t recorded in words, but was a more direct heritage containing vast amounts of spiritual power information.

Gradually, the structure of an ancient spell took shape in his consciousness.

Its core lay in utilizing specific spiritual power oscillations and subtle manipulation of the Earth Element to reorganize a large amount of chaotic yellow sand or similar granular substances into a stable energy material construct, endowing it with basic action logic and energy core, turning it into a Sand Servant with a certain degree of autonomous action capability and combat instinct, obedient to the caster.

The Duke couldn’t help but recall the three Sand Giants he had encountered in the Void Echo Ruins.

At that time, he realized these Sand Soldiers were far from ordinary magical creations. They possessed physical strength and speed approaching that of a Level 1 high-ranking Knight, had remarkable combat techniques, were highly resistant to conventional energy attacks, and boasted incredible recovery, seemingly connected to the land of the ruins itself.

Now, the spell he deciphered from the tablet’s information stream was precisely the method to create similar entities.

The Sand Soldiers formed by this spell didn’t rely on the caster’s constant consumption of magic power to maintain their fragile energy structure; instead, they were completed instantly by the spell as a relatively independent core.

As long as the core wasn’t completely destroyed, the Sand Soldiers could slowly recover by absorbing Earth Elemental Energy from the environment, and execute some preset or simple instructions given by the caster through spiritual link.

The power of the Sand Soldiers actually originated from this tablet. As long as the Duke kept the tablet within his Light God Court, using himself as a medium to transmit the tablet’s power, he could recreate the Sand Soldiers encountered in the ruins.

The Duke could even create entities stronger than those Sand Soldiers in the ruins, as long as he infused more magic power or used better-quality sand particles.

The Sand Soldiers encountered in the ruins were constructed from ordinary yellow sand, yet they possessed such strength.

If constructed using the Duke’s Metallic Yellow Sand, their strength would certainly rise several notches.

The Duke focused his heart thought, and following the newly deciphered magic model, began mobilizing magic power and spiritual power to construct the Sand Servant’s magic model within his mind.

The construction process was simple for him; the model of this spell wasn’t complex, even somewhat rudimentary.

The key was that the Sand Servant spell required the tablet to be cast and necessitated a certain connection with it.

Other wizards obtaining this magic model wouldn’t be able to use it, unless they carried the tablet with them constantly.

The Duke could cast this spell because he had the presence of the Light God Court within himself, allowing him to use himself as a medium to transmit the tablet’s power.

Ten minutes later.

As the Duke’s thoughts moved, a stream of metallic sand with a dark golden sheen surged from his palm. It didn’t scatter around his body but gathered directly in front of him in mid-air.

He simultaneously activated the newly constructed magic model, directly triggering the magic model of the Sand Servant.

A faint but clear invisible ripple spread out from him as if piercing through some dimensional barrier, establishing a connection with the ancient tablet resting somewhere in the God Court.

The tablet itself seemed to tremble slightly, and an ancient power and rule, perceptible only via the magic model, was transmitted through this invisible channel, pouring into the metallic sand stream before him.

A deep, metallic vibration sounded, different from the dull rustle of ordinary sand particles.

The dark gold metallic sand stream, as if given life and will, began to spin swiftly, gathering and taking shape.

The sand grains interlocked and compressed, emitting fine, dense clanging sounds, as if forging steel.

In an instant, a silhouette towering at 3.5 meters, bulkier and more solid than the ruin’s Sand Soldiers, took shape.

Its entire body displayed a somber metallic texture, with precise layered structures at the joints. The war axe it held, no longer a crude sand-gravel axe, was now a giant metallic axe with a distinct outline and a blade edge that flashed with a cold light, the axe surface subtly etched with flowing sand patterns.

Most striking were its eye sockets on the head, where the glow emitted wasn’t the dark red of the ruin’s Sand Soldiers but two dark golden flames burning intensely.

The flames rotated slowly, cold and sharp, filled with the chill of metal and the weight of yellow sand, silently watching its creator, the Duke.

The Duke could distinctly feel a solid spiritual link between him and this dark gold Sand Soldier and further perceive the stable-operating sand core inside of it, and the strength and energy affinity within each grain of metallic yellow sand making up its body, far surpassing that of ordinary sand.

This body itself was a powerful weapon and shield.

"Success, and beyond expectations." A gleam of satisfaction flashed in the Duke’s eyes.

This Sand Servant, made from metallic yellow sand, driven by the tablet’s power, and cast by him, had attributes that absolutely surpassed the ordinary Sand Soldiers in the ruins.

It’s not merely a puppet but more like a combat platform capable of growth and enhancement, crafted from unique materials.

With a thought, the flames in the dark gold Sand Soldier’s eyes flickered slightly, and it silently stepped forward, the ground echoing a solid metallic press.

The Duke could transmit simple commands such as advance, alert, or attack specific targets through the spiritual link, and the Sand Soldier itself also had a degree of autonomous action ability, needing only simple pre-set instructions.

The Sand Soldier could, through its sand core, slowly absorb energy from the surrounding environment, maintaining its basic existence and weak self-repair.

The Duke then conducted some tests and found that this Sand Soldier could even serve as a spell experiment target, better than a general spell experiment target.

Due to the extremely high strength of metallic yellow sand, combined with the energy absorption characteristic and the tablet’s power fusion, the Sand Soldier now possessed nearly magic immunity capability.

This level of magic immunity was stronger than those Sand Soldiers in the ruins. Back then, he could still deal some damage with spells; now, even casually thrown Fireball Technique only produced some sparks.
