Ghost Exorciser: The Oust Fake Heiress Strikes

Chapter 631: Beating

Lucian knew how much she had pushed herself back then, and remembering it made his chest ache. He calmly scooped her into his arms.

Across from them, Axel sighed and shook his head. "This girl is completely drunk. What nonsense is she even talking about?"

Lucian did not bother responding. He simply carried Lana away.

Cornard, who had been sitting nearby, immediately stood up. "Wait. Do not go. She is my sister. I will take her to my room."

Lucian calmly looked at him. "This is my mansion, and these are my rules."

Hearing that, Axel frowned. "Don’t you dare say that. I have the authority to take my niece away from you."

Lucian rolled his eyes. "She is too drunk for either of you to handle."

He then snapped his fingers.

The next second, a brownish, watery spirit materialized beside him. Its body rippled like liquid, and its confused eyes stared at Lucian as though it were waiting for instructions.

Lucian calmly pointed toward Axel and Cornard. "Go."

The spirit immediately rushed toward them.

Before either of them could react, it passed close to their bodies, and both men suddenly began to feel dizzy and tipsy.

"What the hell did you do?"

"This is an underhanded trick!"

Both Axel and Cornard cursed Lucian as they struggled to maintain their balance.

The spirit was an alcohol spirit. As long as it remained close to someone, that person would gradually experience the effects of intoxication.

Lucian completely ignored their complaints.

However, when the alcohol spirit began drifting toward Lana, Lucian’s expression immediately changed.

He snapped his fingers again. "Come back."

The alcohol spirit instantly retreated.

If Lucian had not stopped it, there was no doubt that it would have clung to Lana and made her even more intoxicated.

Meanwhile, Lana had already fallen into a sweet, hazy sleep and had no idea what was happening around her.

Everything felt incredibly light and peaceful. As she drifted deeper into her dream, she suddenly saw Lucian carrying her.

A dreamy smile appeared on her face as she reached out with both hands and gently cupped his face.

"It has been such a long time since I have had some alone time with my boyfriend."

With that, she leaned forward and planted a soft kiss on his cheek.

Lucian took a deep breath and looked at her helplessly. "Behave yourself. You still need to leave tomorrow."

Lana pouted. "You act so monk-like. Your dream version is much better. At least he listens to me."

Lucian could not help but chuckle.

He gently carried her into his room, placed her on the bed, and pulled the blanket over her.

She held his hand tightly, her fingers warm against his palm, and murmured, "Do not leave. I do not want to be alone. I often wish that you were with me, lying beside me."

Lucian’s heart melted. The softness in her voice and the faint vulnerability on her face made it difficult for him to refuse her.

"Someday soon."

With that, he leaned down and gently kissed her forehead before turning around to leave.

However, his heart refused to cooperate with his decision. He hesitated near the door, his hand resting against the handle as he silently struggled with himself.

’Perhaps staying tonight will not hurt.’

Eventually, Lucian gave in and returned to the bed.

Of course, he maintained a careful distance between them, but he knew that he could not keep himself completely detached from her. After a moment, he gently wrapped an arm around Lana.

Lana, on the other hand, was far more possessive in her sleep.

The moment she felt his warmth beside her, she instinctively moved closer and spread her arms and legs over him like an octopus, holding him tightly as though she were afraid he might disappear if she loosened her grip.

The next day, when he woke up, this was the scene he was greeted with.

Lucian smiled softly, a warm feeling spreading through his chest as he looked at her peaceful face. He carefully tried to move her arms away, hoping to free himself without waking her.

Just as he was about to slowly slip away, a knock sounded against the door. A suspicious voice followed from the other side.

"Lana, are you awake?"

It was Axel.

Lucian’s expression changed instantly.

He quickly freed himself from Lana’s embrace. Unfortunately, his hurried movement caused Lana to stir. She opened her eyes, blinked several times, and immediately clutched her head as a dull ache spread through her skull.

"Oh my God, what a pain."

She quickly channeled her healing energy through her body. Once she became completely sober, she looked at Lucian in confusion.

"What are you doing in my bedroom?"

The moment she asked the question, Lucian calmly looked at her. "Decide for yourself."

Before Lana could respond, he immediately rushed toward the balcony. With practiced ease, he climbed over the railing and jumped across to his own room, which was directly beside hers.

He had no intention of letting Axel catch him in Lana’s bedroom.

’If Axel catches me here, then even if the entire villa belongs to me, I will probably never get a moment of peace with Lana again.’

With that thought, Lucian quickly slipped into his own room and closed the balcony door behind him.

On the other hand, Axel was becoming increasingly suspicious.

He quickly took out the master key that Lucian had given him and unlocked Lana’s door. When he entered the bedroom, he immediately looked toward the bed.

Lana was the only person there. She was sitting on the bed with a slightly confused expression, while the blanket was still wrapped around her.

Axel heaved a quiet sigh of relief. However, the moment he stepped farther into the room, his expression changed.

A faint fragrance lingered in the air, and Axel recognised it immediately. It was the unique scent that belonged to Lucian.

Axel gritted his teeth.

Without saying another word, he turned around and marched straight toward Lucian’s room.
