Chapter 386: I Have A Deal
Wang Ruoqiu knew Chief Xie better than these fools. The Big Bear Tribe had finally fallen from its old glory; there was no way she was going to let them climb back up. She had used all the tricks in her hands to suppress those fools; how could she allow them to rise back to power? It was bad enough that they had formed an alliance with the Killer Whale Tribe. What if they ended up gaining more momentum? Just thinking about it made Wang Rouqiu really angry. She raised her foot and kicked the tracker who returned with information.
"The last time you said the same thing. You told me that there was nothing major happening in the tribe, and what happened, in the end, was they formed an alliance with the Killer Whale Tribe. Do you even know what it means? The killer whale tribe is the second most powerful alliance in the entire beast world. Because of your slight mistake, the big bear tribe ended up getting a rather good deal."
"If you had kept a close eye on them, then we could have stopped them from forming an alliance with the big bear tribe."
Wang Ruoqiu blamed her trackers for not keeping an eye on the big bear tribe. She had worked hard to ruin that tribe, and yet these fools could not even understand her hard work. Was it easy to destroy the tribe and take over their ancestral lands? Of course not. They suffered heavy losses as well; the reason they won was that they had more totem warriors than the Big Bear tribe, and there were people who were willing to betray Chief Xie, as they believed that she was being too kind.
Without so many factors helping her, Wang Ruoqiu knew that there was no way she could have defeated Chief Xie.
Such opportunities were provided only once.
The tracker lowered her head. She did not know where she went wrong. Obviously, there was nothing going on in the big bear tribe, but then suddenly they released the information that they had formed an alliance with the killer whale tribe. All these years, she had never missed anything. Even she was surprised that she had failed in keeping track of such an important piece of news.
"Chief, please don’t be angry. I promise that I will keep an even closer eye on those bastards. I don’t believe that I cannot find what they are planning!"

"Ah Chee! Ah Chee!" Ruan Chanchan sneezed twice with her hands covering her nose; she raised her head and looked around. For some reason, she had a feeling that she was being stalked. However, when she looked around, she did not see anyone.
"What are you looking at?" Little Green asked when she saw that the human woman, whom she followed, was looking around the surroundings vigilantly.
Ruan Chanchan shook her head. "I thought that someone was looking at me, but it was nothing." Maybe she was being oversensitive. After training for a while, Ruan Chanchan had started to feel something in her core, and slowly her senses were getting stronger and stronger, like the totem warriors.
Little Green and Xiao Xi looked at one another before turning to look at Ruan Chanchan. The two of them did not sense anything either; thus, they did not pay much attention to what Ruan Chanchan was saying. After all, it was not anything important. If she were in immediate danger, then at least Xiao Xi would have sensed it.
The three of them did not pay attention to this small incident and went to look for Chief Xie.
"Oh, Chanchan? Why did you come to look for me?" Chief Xie was quite surprised when she saw Ruan Chanchan coming to see her. These days, she was having a headache whenever she thought of the upcoming market days; the elders had been urging her to come up with a way to earn some money at the market, but Chief Xie had no idea what to do! She had used all kinds of tricks in the past but nothing worked. She was thinking of selling the dried meat in the market, but the elders stubbornly refused.
They all said that the rainy season was coming very soon and they needed to stock up as much meat as possible. How could they sell the dried meat in the market? And when Chief Xie asked them what ideas they had come up with, of course, they replied with nothing. They had no ideas themselves, but they were quite quick when it came to refusing the ideas that Chief Xie had come up with. Thinking of the current attitude of the elders, it was clear that they just wanted to make things difficult for her.
In short, they just wanted her to force Ruan Chanchan into giving in and doing something for the tribe, but how could Chief Xie be as shameless as those old fools? She had been thinking of coming up with something on her own.
She never expected Ruan Chanchan would come looking for her.
"Mother." Ruan Chanchan nodded as she took a seat on the protruding stone inside the cave. She looked at Chief Xie and asked, "I heard some rumours circulating inside the tribe. It seems like people have been coming to you with their ideas to open a stall in the market at the White Sheep Tribe."
"That’s correct." Chief Xie pinched the space between her eyebrows and sighed heavily. "However, none of the ideas that they had come up with are good. These things have already made an appearance in the tribal market, and no one will be willing to buy them. If I allow them to set up a stall, then I will be paying a thousand bone coins for no reason. Forget about getting the capital back; maybe we will end up becoming a joke in the market!"
Chief Xie closed her eyes as she shook her head. "I am still recovering from the horror of what happened the last time."
