"What?" Xie Daiyu raised his head and looked at Ruan Chanchan with a frown on his face. He hesitated for a while before sighing heavily. "I promised that I would protect you but in the end, I became a burden on you." This was the one thing that Xie Daiyu was the most upset about. Clearly, he had been hoping to take care of Ruan Chanchan. But now, he was nothing less than a baggage.
"Hey, now." Ruan Chanchan was surprised when she heard the mer say such things. She patted him on the head before saying, "There is no need to be so depressed. There are some things that cannot be rushed. Anyway, you are not a burden on me; you are taking care of our kids and that is more important than anything." Ruan Chanchan knew how mers would often start overthinking once they got pregnant; in her past life, she was also the kind of woman who used to look down at them and even called their actions drama.
But after seeing how Mo Qiang used to treat her husbands and how happy they were, Ruan Chanchan realised that she was the one in the wrong. She should have been by her husbands’ side when they needed her. Now that life had given her another chance, she was not going to let her husband suffer; she would take care of him and her children. Live a proper and honest life like she wanted!
With that thought in her head, Ruan Chanchan pursed her lips and started planning her next step. She had heard about the White Sheep market; it was going to take place in the next three days. Since that was the case, then she would take someone along with her and open a stall in the market. She had not found a way to produce linen, as the plant was not yet found. But she was not upset or disappointed. She still had many ways to make money.
She turned to look at Xie Daiyu and said to him, "Don’t think too much, since you cannot hunt, I will go to the White Sheep market and sell some things, I will definitely earn some money and bring you and our tribe’s people some good things." Ruan Chanchan naturally wanted to take care of the tribe and its people as well as alleviate their stature but she was not going to let the elders take advantage of her.
"Are you sure you will be okay? The market is not simple. If you are targeted, then things will not be good," Xie Daiyu was really worried. The one thing he was most worried about was the black snake tribe. Those people were like rotten leeches. No matter how their tribe tried to shake them off, they did not let go of them. Instead, they actually caused trouble for their tribe every now and then.
"Don’t be worried. You are forgetting that our tribe has now formed an alliance with the killer whale tribe. I don’t think those people from the black snake tribe would try to cause trouble for me or anyone else." Ruan Chanchan was not worried. After all, the rumours about their tribe forming an alliance with the killer tribe might have already spread. Especially in the black snake tribe as they had been eyeing them for a long time.
Xie Daiyu recalled the alliance and his face turned sour. Of course, if he could, he would have forgotten all about the alliance. After all, it made him share his mate with that rotten Rong Xian!
However, he would never show his discontentment on his face, he said Ruan Chanchan, "alright but you should still be careful. Those people from the black snake tribe had tried to rob us of business many times. In the past, they would always spy on us and then do the same thing as us. No matter what we did, we couldn’t stop them."
"Hah. There is no need to worry. If they can still do the same business as me, then I will take my hat off for them!" Ruan Chanchan sneered. With her supermarket system, there was nothing that she was worried about. Copying her? "You mean to say that you have not received any information?" asked the tribe leader of the black snake tribe. When she saw the mer whom she had sent to get the information regarding the black bear tribe’s stall shake his head, a bad premonition started to rise in her heart. It was bad enough that they now had an alliance with the killer whale tribe but they were even able to hide their business idea from them!
The black snake leader tribe were getting more and more worried.
"Leader, what are you worried about? I think the big bear tribe was scared away by us. They must be thinking of sitting out this year, after all, when have we not outshone them in the market? Every time they try something new, we always do better than them. They must be too scared of coming up with anything at this point." One of the elders pointed out.
But Wang Ruoqiu did not think so. She shook her head and then said in a heavy voice, "I don’t think so. Chief Xie is known for her stubbornness. There is no way that woman would ever think of giving up just like that. There must be something... she must be planning something."
Wang Ruoqiu knew Chief Xie better than anyone. After all, she had been suppressed by that woman for ages; if not for the fact that she had somehow managed to take over her tribe, she would still be under Chief Xie’s feet. How could she just accept that there was nothing wrong? Her eyes flashed again and again before she commanded, "Keep watching the big bear tribe; I don’t believe that they can continue hiding their business for the market till the end!" she was determined to suppress them until they go extinct.
