Chapter 449: Lacking Offensive Power
Ved in his humanoid form stood before the unmoving body of Alya, he sniffed the air and caught a scent of blood.
Within that scent was a very familiar scent, " He was here." Naledi immediately understood who he was talking about.
She crouched down and touched Alya’s chest, " I sense master’s aura on her." She took an amulet.
After fiddling with it for a while the amulet opened and Alya shot out of it like an arrow and crashed through her wall.
" Damnit that was uncomfortable." She grumbled, everybody looked at her then at the corpse on the floor.
" Oh right, that’s a clone master gave me for my safety." She explained, they all sighed with relief.
" So, care to explain what happened?" Naledi asked.
Alya sighed, " Vermilion was here." Ved’s aura rose, the house shook and dark clouds gathered above them.
" Where is he?" He growled, his golden eyez glowing like stars, it was obvious he was up for a fight.
" I wouldn’t recommend going after him, he’s much stronger than the Vermilion you remember.
He’s somehow managed to create something resembling both a divine flames and void flame.
His power is hard to fathom, going after him would only get you killed, he’s already reached creation realm."
That made Ved pause, he was still only at level 3 of comprehension realm and Vermilion has already reached creation realm.
That didn’t sit right with him, he refused to accept it. Alya and the others could see the discontent in his eyes.
" Comparing yourself to him won’t do you any good, he’s cheating, he can steal the law comprehensions of others."
Alya explained in hopes of calming down this dragon who looked like he was about to explode.
Still, Ved wasn’t happy, he left without a word, everybody looked at Naledi but she said nothing and didn’t stop him .
Ved flew off towards the distant mountain ranges, his intention was to hunt and increase his evolution point count.
He can then use them to enter the state of extreme meditation using his crown of divinity and comprehend his laws.
Perhaps he can even comprehend the law of intangibility and upgrade formless shift to increase his means of survival.
Once his traits have been upgraded, they become sub law arts making them stronger than normal abilities.
His formless shift might even be able to help him confront creation realm opponents without fear.
Even as a manifestation realms dragon, he was able to barely survive an attack from a comprehension realm.
He couldn’t imagine how much more powerful it would be if he upgraded it to a sub law art.
He landed within the mountain ranges, his soul sense spread out covering hundreds of thousands of kilometres.
He detected multiple suitable targets including two rank 8 demonic beasts which he chose not to confront yet.
He took his real form and shot off through the sky. Below him, a large warthog was busy eating.
It was devouring a massive snake more than 400 metres long, the warthog was a rank 7 demonic beast.
He could feel the law of earth oozing out of its body. The ground around it had even hardened becoming stronger than metal.
Ved immediately shot down like a meteor, by the time it noticed him it was already too late.
He grabbed its head with his claws and rammed it on the ground, the hard ground shattered like glass.
A crater 20 kilometres in diameter appeared on the ground, the nearby mountain shook and giant boulders rolled everywhere.
The warthog was still alive, it was a defensive type demonic beast, something like this couldn’t kill it.
Ved opened his mouth and blew out a cloud of black dead on its face then backed off. The warthog inhaled black death.
It raised its head and faced him easy to charge then its body swayed to the side, it tried to stand still but failed.
Boom, it fell on it side picking up a cloud of dust. Ved finished it off, this was warthog was at level 6.
It was at the peak of the middle stage of rank 7 and he defeated it so easily, nobody could deny his strength.
Yet he felt it was not enough, nowhere near enough. It didn’t take long for him to eat the entire warthog.
Then he moved on to the next prey which was a massive hawk at level 8, the hawk put up more of a fight.
It controlled all the wind around them creating tornadoes as wide as a thousand kilometres.
Hundreds of mountains shattered into fragments and picked up by the spinning winds.
Ved had also comprehended the law of wind but he didn’t have any ability or trait related to using wind so it was useless.
The law was comprehended as a by product of the creation law anyways. He fired a beam of dragon breath.
The dragon breath destroyed hundreds of tornadoes but they reformed moments later and surrounded him.
He was getting frustrated, the hawk was incredibly fast, fast enough to match his speed when he was using wings of Garuda.
Of course that didn’t include him using ignition since he had no intentions of using something like that here.
That would be like dropping a nuke to kill a stray dog, he just needed to restrain its speed and he would be snake easily take it down.
Unfortunately the only trait that could achieve something like that was not upgraded and would be useless here.
" Fuck it." He roared to the heavens and lunged but the heavy winds slowed down his speed while it increased the hawks.
" Damn you, you stupid bird do you really want me to use my dragon magic on you?!" He shouted in rage.
Then remembered he couldn’t use dragon magic, his dragon cords were still damage from the last spell.
It would take about a few weeks for them to heal. ’ I really do lack offensive means besides my body.’ he checked his status.
