Chapter 447: Reappearance of an old foe
After Elena had rested, she took the effort to teleport everybody to their home universes. Ved was eager to go home.
He was bummed about failing his mission and hoped to relax for a while and cool off, he was also excited about his deal with Elena.
He couldn’t wait to find out what else did the ancient beast king leave behind for him. After arriving home, he met the disapproving eyes of sovereigns.
Besides the beast sovereigns and the Dryads who were his allies, all the others have him disappointed looks.
Volstone was the first to step forward, his cold eyes landed on Ved but the dragon didn’t back down even when facing a sovereign.
This angered Volstone prompting him to release his aura. Ved felt a heavy pressure crush him from above.
The pressure alone was enough to crack his iron scales and make him cough up a mouthful of blood.
’ I knew the difference between me and sovereigns was vast but this is insane, I can’t even stand under his pressure.’
He gritted his teeth and forced his body up and to the astonishment of everybody, his body actually rose by a few centimetres.
Seeing this, Volstone took action, " You fool, you cost us an entire universe with your foolishness and for that, you must be punished!"
He roared and attacked but everybody knew that was an excuse, he was just embarrassed that a rank 7 child resisted his aura.
An early stage rank 7 no less even if he was a divinity. A massive palm made of red martial dao came from the above.
Ved wanted to dodge but the world seemed to have stood still, he felt as his body was bound by countless unbreakable chains.
" ROOOOAAAR!" He roared to the heavens and his law avatar manifested behind him standing tall like Yggdrasil.
The dragon image perched on the tree roared silently and Ved felt himself gaining new strength.
His dragon scales which had reached their limit broke the limit growing stronger under the enhancement of the law avatar.
His law of creation blazed high, an illusory shield bloomed above him but it was too blurry and disappeared soon after.
His law avatar was trying every means possible to increase his chances of surviving this attack.
But there was no need, two tails lashed out like whips and shattered the martial dao hand.
A massive nine tailed fox appeared next to Ved and glared at Volstone. " How dare you lay your hands on the young king you brat?" Kitsune growled.
Her tails Ignited into flames behind her and a sweet scent spread out, even those without a sense of smell still smelled it.
Volstone found himself trapped in an illusion where his body was flailed by the claws of lady Kitsune over and over again.
He knew it was an illusion but he still couldn’t break himself free and the pain felt very real.
BOOOOOM, a sun exploded in his head breaking him out of the illusion. " Dawn, do you intend to stand against me?"
Dawn simply smiled but said nothing, Kitsune knew a fight was unavoidable now because she wasn’t about to back down.
She could tolerate many things but what she couldn’t tolerate was a sovereign bullying a junior of her race.
Most of all, not just any junior but the young Prince of all beasts, if it meant fighting to the death to drive that message through, then so be it.
Just as the tension was rising, they all heard a cough and saw a sovereign of the Anuhnaki flying between them.
He was the leader of all the Anuhnaki, an incredibly powerful and ancient being but even he was still younger than Kitsune.
He had to show her some decorum when talking to her. " Lady Kitsune, I understand your anger, young Volstone did overstep but we have more pressing issues right now."
Kitsune growled at him, " Do not stand in my way you glistering bastard or you’ll die with them." She responded with a threat.
His face changed but he controlled his emotions and coughed twice, " Again, we can address these issues at a later date.
Right now, we have a war going on and fighting amongst ourselves will not solve anything."
He tried to explain but she had intentions of listening, just as she was about to attack she heard a voice in her head and stopped.
With a swipe of her tails she swaggered away gracefully ignoring them. Ved followed after her.
After they reached her palace which had been set here, she finally looked at him and the anger in her eyes was gone.
All that was left was worry, " Are you alright young master, did that bastard hurt you?" She sounded like a worried mother.
" I’m alright lady Kitsune, thank you for your help." He bowed his giant head at her, as large as he was, he was very small in comparison to her.
Kitsune laughed, her voice sounded like enchanting music, it was her nature as a nine tailed fox to be seductive.
" Don’t worry about it, that bastard really went beyond the line back there, had it not been for Fenral, I would’ve killed them."
Ved could tell she was serious, she really had every intentions to fight to the death back then for his sake, he was touched.
" I’m sorry for failing my mission lady Kitsune." He apologised, he knew his failure was a huge cost to the heavens.
The power of an entire universe was no joke, merging it with Pangera could’ve birthed at least one more sovereign.
Currently the spiritual beast race which had only five sovereigns initially had over 30 now, a testament of the power of merging universes.
Even White’s master became a sovereign after the last singularity he and Naledi merged.
Kitsune looked at him with tender eyes, " You did good, I would prefer a king that can prioritise his friends and subordinates over power.
You giving up the mission to save those you care for is a testament of your character,.you’ll make a great king, what more could I ask for."
Ved nodded, " Thank you lady Kitsune, I’ll take my leave now." He thanked her and walked out.

Somewhere in the camp stood a makeshift house, while it’s called makeshift it was a beautiful house.
This house belonged to Alya, currently she was standing in her living room nervously, in front of her sat a man with blood red hair smiling at her.
