“It’s been a long time, Sir Thunder,” Sein said as he stepped forward to greet him.
The two had met a few times before, but back then, Sein had mostly stood quietly behind Lorianne.
Thunder was a rugged‑looking, middle‑aged knight with a bit of stubble on his chin. Despite his rough appearance, he had an excellent memory and recognized Sein immediately.
“Oh, it’s you, Master Sein. I heard you have established your own divine tower. Congratulations!” Thunder nodded and smiled.
The Order of the Thunder Knights was situated northwest of Ashenreach, farther away than the Order of the Steel Fist. This made it one of the Divine Tower of Ashes’ neighbors.
If the opportunity arose in the future, Sein and Thunder might end up working together.
Thunder might look nearly penniless now, but with the world‑class secret treasure in his hands, he was bound to shine in the upcoming Clash of Civilizations.
Recouping his earlier investments would be easy, with a good chance of earning far more in the war.
High risk brought high reward, and Thunder had clearly made the right bet.
Steel Fist was also present nearby, but he had always been low‑key, so Sein had barely noticed him.
Meeting Steel Fist was a little awkward for Sein, since he had essentially taken people from his order.
House Grantt was small, so losing a dozen knights was not a major issue for the Order of the Steel Fist.
