Chapter 739: NASM - 739
"Finally done! My feet feel so much better now, the soreness is almost gone. I feel completely refreshed! If I get a good night’s sleep tonight, I’m sure I’ll be jumping around happily again tomorrow morning!" Hiroshi thought to himself as he poured the water down the drain.
After tidying up the bathroom, he walked slowly back into the room. He was surprised to see that all the things they had bought earlier were now neatly organised and stacked away in a corner by Harumiko.
"I can’t believe she managed to finish everything in just an hour. If it were up to me, I probably wouldn’t have been able to do it half as well. Harumiko really is amazing at organising things. I have to admit defeat when it comes to this!" Hiroshi shook his head slightly, thinking to himself.
Harumiko was already sitting on the bed, busy with the board games. It had been such a long time since she last played them that she had forgotten most of the rules, so she was currently studying the instruction manuals very carefully.
"She looks so cute when she’s concentrating like that. That focused expression of hers is really memorable. It won’t be long before we can start playing. I’m sure if she explains it to me once, I’ll remember how to do it!" Hiroshi thought as he watched her.
He walked over slowly and sat down beside her, picking up one of the manuals to read for himself. He had to admit, looking at the rules did give him a bit of a headache – it had been so long that he found it quite hard to understand too.
"Hiroshi, are you done soaking your feet? I’ve finished tidying up everything outside, and now I’m trying to figure out how to play these. They’re actually quite complicated, so it might take us a while before we can actually start!" Harumiko said, looking up at him with a bright smile.
Hiroshi nodded gently in agreement. He also felt that these games were quite challenging; even after glancing at the pages just now, he still didn’t quite get it.
"Oh right! Hiroshi, I almost forgot. I bought something special for you today. Come here and take a look. I don’t know if you’ll like it, but I thought it really suited you!" Harumiko said suddenly, standing up quickly and smiling at him.
Hiroshi looked at her with curiosity. He had no idea when she had bought a gift for him. He stood up and followed her over to the table, where he saw a small, beautiful box.
It was the box containing the necklace, and it really did look very delicate and exquisite.
"What’s inside? It looks so nice... it must have been quite expensive, right? But no matter what it is, I know I’ll love it. After all, it’s a gift from you, Harumiko. I will definitely treasure it forever!" Hiroshi said softly, turning to look at her with a warm smile.
Harumiko nodded gently, sat down, and carefully picked up the box, placing it right in front of him.
Hiroshi looked at the elegant little box, reached out slowly to take it, and opened it gently to see what was inside.
"Wow! I can’t believe it... it’s a necklace! And it looks so cool and handsome. I absolutely love it! It really is exactly the kind of thing I like. Just like you said, it fits my style perfectly! Hahaha." Hiroshi said happily, looking at the necklace inside the box.
Harumiko had been feeling quite nervous and worried that he might not like it, but hearing his words and seeing how happy he sounded made her feel instantly relieved. A huge weight was lifted off her shoulders.
"I’m so glad you like it! I was worried all day that you might not, but hearing you say that makes me feel so much better. I fell in love with it the moment I saw it. It seems our tastes are really quite similar!" Harumiko said excitedly, beaming at him.
A look of deep satisfaction and happiness appeared on Hiroshi’s face. It had been such a long time since he had received a gift. Back in his original world, he had never received presents from anyone.
And since coming to the world of Naruto, the only gifts he had ever gotten were from his uncle and aunt. No one else had ever given him anything.
