Chapter 83 - 81 - : Divine Calamity
The Iron Lord had clashed with Audron for no less than hundreds of rounds, his battle armor as hard as iron unwavering under Audron’s fierce assault without a single flaw.
"You can’t beat him, let me do it!" The War Lord roared from within at this moment. Although the Iron Lord could not lose, he couldn’t win either. Dealing with the master of a thousand battles was more suitable for the best of their class.
"No, if we switch you in, that little wench will use soul spells to attack us again, without the defense of the Iron Fortress we won’t hold on!" Bodo refused the War Lord’s suggestion.
"Then continuing like this will lead to no results!" The War Lord said discontentedly, though Audron was strong, the Iron Lord still had a Holy Artifact in hand. Even if the master of a thousand battles had the advantage over defensive classes such as the Wall of Thick Earth, the Iron Lord with a Holy Artifact wouldn’t lose.
"What’s there to fear, if we just hold out, can he really win?" The Iron Lord was unconcerned as well. His strength might not have increased as quickly as when Bodo took the lead, but it was still slowly rising. Once he broke through the Third Transition limit, even with the occupational disadvantage, Audron was bound to be defeated.
"That’s right, we just need to wear him down until he’s done for." Bodo also greatly agreed with the Iron Lord’s idea.
"Fine, then let’s keep this standoff going." The War Lord retracted his consciousness with slight dissatisfaction; after all, he was the only one who hadn’t controlled the body up to now.
"Damn it." Audron grew more frantic as the battle raged on, the opponent’s Holy Artifact allowed every near breach in defense to be repaired immediately, leaving no real impact.
Moreover, with the ongoing attrition, Audron’s offense was not as fierce as it had been at the beginning.
"You’ve slowed down, Audron," the Iron Lord also sensed the opponent’s strain, smashing his shield hard and pushing Audron back several steps.
