Chapter 82 - 80 Crisis
"The fusion of the three great lords’ powers, no wonder," Lu Hong lay amidst the ruins of the Holy Temple, the colossal sword he had scavenged from the imperial treasury had not fully unleashed its efficacy before it had mostly become useless. Now, a row of cracks marred the once razor-sharp blade of the Darkblood Demon Sword; compared to the holy swords, it indeed fell short by no small margin.
"How about it? I told you long ago to concede and surrender, but you just wouldn’t listen," Bodo looked down at Lu Hong with self-satisfaction: "But I should thank you. Without this, how could I have come so close to the realm of godhood?"
The realms of the three great lords in their lifetimes had already touched the limits of humanity, one step further was divinity, but no matter how hard they tried, godhood remained out of their reach.
The Blood Lord’s power stemmed from qi and blood; he could assimilate all power that he absorbed into his body, which was why the three great lords had chosen to fuse with Bodo as the main body.
"Bodo, why waste words on him, hurry up and kill him to seize the mark of judgment," a human face emerged from Bodo’s chest; it was the War God.
"There’s no rush. If I can ascend to godhood on my own, what need is there for the Judgment Dual Blades?" Bodo harbored greater ambitions, wishing to obtain divine enthronement through his own power.
"We are not one hundred percent certain!" War God exclaimed discontentedly: "You should know that the fusion of our three souls is merely a simple merge. If any error occurs during the process of ascending to godhood, we will certainly separate."
"My thinking is quite the opposite of yours," the Steel Lord also squeezed a face out next to War God and continued: "The divine tribulation might very well merge our three souls completely. By then, Divine Power would surely be stronger than that of any ordinary Heavenly God."
"Exactly, I think the same," Bodo said excitedly: "Once we ascend to godhood, unified as three-in-one, where in the vast world could we not go? Have you not had enough of the days in this dark void?"
Hearing Bodo’s words, War God fell silent, and after a moment he spoke again: "Since you are the main body, then everything will follow your wishes." With that said, War God merged back into Bodo’s body.
