Cultivation Struggles of a Lowly Fox

Witch Aiko walked outside only to be startled by the scenery and scale of things.

They were in a rocky terrain at the side of the ravine. There were no animals around, not corpses or anything, like this place was something sacred.

Looking around, there were rows and rows of tents, although most Foxes shared those tents, there were still a considerable amount.

As Mei said, the scent was not bad at all, everyone was walking around somewhat happily. There were some of them very unhappy, but Witch Aiko thought that something might've happened to them.

"They were the ones who ate the spoiled food, so they are not feeling too well." Danji explained to Aiko, since she seemed a bit lost.

"But nobody is doing too bad, right?" Witch Aiko believed that Mei would step in if something happened, so the situation couldn't be too bad.

"En. Everyone is doing mostly fine, there are just some lingering effects that they can't get rid of." Danji sighed softly, only if there was a way-

"[Clean]."

*RIIIIIP*

"KYAAAAA!"

"..." Danji stared at the disaster that Aiko had just created, but just as she was about to step in to mediate the naked Fox started to hug Aiko.

*Hisss!*

Danji let out a strange noise, like she was trying to scare everyone away.

Even the Fox that was hugging Aiko jumped away from the intimidation, before slipping into the tent to get new clothes.

The somewhat smaller Fox then popped right out hugging Aiko again and thanking her for feeling better.

'As expected.' Witch Aiko didn't mind the hug, since this Fox was as flat as it gets, so there was nothing really good about this, but at least she figured out that her [Clean] could be used in multiple ways rather than just keeping the body clean.

Well, it did keep the body clean, literally, but Witch Aiko hoped there were no side effects.

"Are you feeling alright?" Witch Aiko looked at the smaller Fox and tried to estimate if everything was alright.

At this point Mei came over, for some reason she felt like she missed something important, but seeing Danji gnashing her teeth, it couldn't be that important.

"What are you doing?" Mei softly asked Aiko.

Danji snorted at her, for her ignorance, but she would naturally not tell what happened, so that Mei could get as pissed off as she was.

"I used my [Clean] on her to make her better." Witch Aiko smiled innocently, but Mei was frozen in place.

"The gentle kind of [Clean], right...?" Mei's lips kept twitching. She was trying hard to keep her expression in check, but she wanted to scold Aiko for what she did.

"Yeah. It's great at cleaning some ailments, so I thought I would use it for the better of others.

Witch Aiko came up with a plausible excuse, but it didn't seem like it worked on Mei.

"Did you enjoy it?" Mei's eyes weren't smiling at all.

"There was nothing to- Oooops." Witch Aiko stuck out her tongue like she just told a secret she was not supposed to say out loud.

Mei's face twitched, but she controlled her emotions from scolding Aiko, since it was obvious she was trying to rage bait her.

"Should I do it on other Foxes?" Witch Aiko smiled. Since she could help one Fox, she could help all of them~!

"No." The duo said sternly. It kind of felt like they were either jealous or not confident about their bodies, since Aiko was suddenly seeking the bodies of others.

Of course that was just a delusion on their part, since Witch Aiko didn't get off of this at all. She would much rather use that [Clean] on both of them, but she didn't have good enough justification for destroying their clothes.

Mei sighed softly. "We will arrange it, so you can use [Clean], but no ripping of clothes!"

"Tsk." Witch Aiko clicked her tongue, but it was too audible so she panicked. "I mean- Awwwww..."

The duo were not completely convinced that Aiko was just baiting them, so they wouldn't fall for it.

How were they able to know that? Dai Lu was rolling on the ground behind the tent, trying to hold in her laughter like her life depended on it.

Mei was slightly upset that Dai Lu was having such a great time, but she wouldn't dwell on it too much. It was time for her to work so that she could later enjoy White Aiko!

"I will help you." Danji joined, since she couldn't allow Aiko to undress others when she hadn't done it to her yet!

Witch Aiko marvelled at their efficiency, so all she had to do was wait patiently.

It was truly hard to wait for everything, but Witch Aiko managed to persevere! Now she just needed to use [Clean] a few dozens of times, and she would be done~!

The Foxes all had just simple bath towels covering their bodies, since if those ripped, it wouldn't be such a big deal as normal clothes.

Sure, those bath towels were silky smooth, but that wouldn't beat the feeling of being healthy!

Witch Aiko started to cast [Clean], each time assessing their bodies and tails. At first, it didn't seem like there was correlation between the body state and tails, but Witch Aiko quickly realised that was not the case.

They had more in common than she expected.

First, the health state of the body would immediately reflect on their tails. The main reason being was the flow of Qi inside their bodies. If they were sick the flow would be disrupted here and there and since Foxes with multiple tails had different 'connections' to the body, it all made much more sense.

Witch Aiko was also trying to figure out why the Demonic Foxes were so gorgeous, but she couldn't figure out anything, maybe they were more naturally endowed? It was possible.

After [Clean]ing everyone, the Foxes seemed more lively, so the healthy Foxes also seemed happier in return.

Witch Aiko felt satisfied with her work and grinned from ear to ear.

"Satisfied, huh?" Mei said sarcastically, like she didn't like Aiko ogling others.

"Of course." Witch Aiko hummed happily. "But don't worry, I will do it for you later too~" She teased both of them, but all she gained in return was pinching of the cheeks.

Witch Aiko pouted after this, since that was truly unfair! This was simply injustice!

Witch Aiko shook her head before exploring this place. She never really lived on rocky terrain so it was a strange sensation. Everything was very hard, making walking very awkward for a prolonged period of time.

Moreover, it also felt like the bedding was not as soft as she remembered.

Maybe it would be better to make some kind of bed above the ground, but Moon Aiko already had too many projects to work on, so Witch Aiko wouldn't be too pressed about it.

They wouldn't stay in this place too long, so there was no need to come up with something for the time being.

"The Foxes are healing well." Witch Aiko smiled at them. Everyone was very enthusiastic about her, which made her happy. She also didn't forget that Dai Lu wanted to give her something, but Witch Aiko was not in the mood, so she kept ignoring it.

"I just warmed up the soup." The bird lady announced to Aiko through a special whispering technique.

"Oh~" Witch Aiko licked her lips, making multiple Foxes blush, before running away from this place.

The Foxes were disappointed at first, but when they saw Aiko going after food they immediately giggled.

It was kind of well-known that Aiko was a foodie, so that was the only instance when Aiko was allowed to run away from anything, even work.

The Foxes also felt that Witch Aiko should eat more, since she was the youngest ever to join the former Fox Village.

At first the Foxes couldn't believe it, since you could never achieve that in life, the joining below adulthood part, but one Fox was able to achieve that which made them speechless.

Over time there were more and more worshippers of Aiko and the cult grew rapidly. She was the youngest, but most accomplished Fox, so they all celebrated that.

"How does it taste?" Witch Aiko was slightly worried about the Earthen Elephant meat, but she was also very hungry, so she wasn't too much against that idea.

The bird lady chuckled at her. "Don't worry, I have already tested it and there is nothing wrong with it." Maybe it was because she had it in her Spatial Ring, but the soup was still well-kept and fresh.

The fresh part was obvious since the meat packed a lot of Qi, but keeping it fresh even in that place, now that was quite the accomplishment.

Witch Aiko took a cautious sip. She was worried that it would taste weird since the soup was prepared a long time ago, but to her disbelief, it was absolutely delicious!

"Yummy~" Witch Aiko hummed happily. It seemed like she would be able to have a full stomach and be happy about it~!

"You can eat more, and let the previously sick Foxes have also a bit to reset their palette." The bird lady suggested. There was a lot of meat to go around, but compared to the size of the Earthen Elephant, it was actually quite little.

The main reason being for that was the state of the meat. Not the damage done by weapons and such, but by the impossibly high Earth Affinity, which gave the meat earthy smell and taste.

In other words, most of the meat tasted too strong of earth so it would be impossible to use during cooking, but fortunately, some meat was not affected, allowing the bird lady to use it and cook with it.

Witch Aiko was elated that it tasted so good and she even wanted a second.

The rest of her team also joined the food as well as many Foxes.

Most of them had a small portion, since there were simply too many Foxes for just one Earthen Elephant, and the bird lady didn't have enough time to prepare more since she was dragged into that dream.

However, even that little bit allowed everyone to gain a bit of vitality and a lot of strength.

The previously sick Foxes also ate this and while they already felt better thanks to their Goddess, they still felt a lot more energetic after this hearty meal~!

Everyone was eating and celebrating something, while Aiko was just downing one bowl after another, that's how delicious the soup was...
