But in the days that followed, this girl pursued design with a passion that was off the charts. As soon as she was done with her homework and had some free time, she would pester Yang PeiMin to teach her drawing, insisting on getting the basics right first.

When Shen Yiguang returned and Shen Yixiang went out to wash the dishes, he asked Yang PeiMin, "What’s gotten into this girl? She acts like she’s found a treasure, even laughing out loud to herself sometimes."
Yang PeiMin shared her thoughts.
After listening, Shen Yiguang raised an eyebrow, "She could give it a try when she’s not working, but once things are stable here, I think it’s better to find her a proper job."
Yang PeiMin glared at him, "So you think what I’m doing now isn’t proper?"
Shen Yiguang hurriedly backpedaled, "Not at all, I just fear that girl might lose interest in three minutes and abandon this just as quickly, leaving you to have wasted your efforts. She’s still not settled; perhaps she should go back to work after a while to contain her wild spirit."
Yang PeiMin gave him a sidelong glance, "If you want her to get a job, you have to ask for her opinion first. You can’t just decide everything for her." Shen Yixiang was promising and genuinely liked this industry. Yang PeiMin hoped she would stick with it.
