An elderly man with graying hair and wearing spectacles that suggested a kindly demeanor signed his name on a top-secret document, then he closed the folder.
After removing and neatly folding his spectacles, placing them in their designated spot on the desk, the gentle old man stretched his neck.
The assistant, who had served the old man for many years, knew that he had finished his current task and approached the desk.
"Pass down the orders I’ve signed, and file the document away."
After instructing the assistant to handle the documents in the usual manner, the old man smiled and asked, "What’s on the agenda for today?"
"Commander, the morning is clear, and there is a meeting at three in the afternoon that requires your attendance."
"Oh, I’m aware of the meeting. Is that the only thing for today?"
"Yes, Commander. Today’s meeting is important, and you haven’t scheduled anything else."
"Very good. No pending tasks and nothing urgent to handle. Today seems to be a rare day of leisure. Oh, I see that look on your face. What is it that you want to say? Has something happened that requires my attention?"
"No, Commander. It’s just that there’s something I thought you should know about. It’s not urgent but quite interesting."
The old man leaned back in his chair, placing both hands on his stomach, and chuckled, "Interesting? It’s been a long time since something interesting happened around here. Do tell."
