The people of the Steppe and the people of the mountains, people of the forest and people of other grasslands and deserts in a way are like brothers

The Freemen near the Rhine River, the Almani, the Goths and even the people of the Steppe all of them have frequent clashes with the Empire of the Roma.

For more than two centuries, the Roman had faced generally quite small barbarians tribes.

At times they were fierce and tough fighter but they are rarely any real match for Roma weapons or diplomacy.

Not to mention the Roma uses subsidies or bribes, to keep most tribes divided against each other or to split themselves from within by acknowledging one claim over another

However, centuries of living so close to a far more united and powerful state begins to have an effect on the tribes

Older and smaller tribes coalesced into two far more potentially threatening groups, the Almani in southern Germania whose name means All Men.

The Franks on the Lower Rhine whose name mean Free Men.

These were loose confederation of similar tribes rather than unitary kingdoms but in time of battle, they would combine for the specific purpose of attacking the Roma Empire

But these are alarming development. It would not be long before they would also unite with each other

They were also the Vandals and Sarmatians, the Goths, the Juthungi.
