Chapter 2413 - 671: Who Is the Traitor? (2)
Inside the business car, Newt looked at the scene before him in terror, trembling as he crawled to the driver’s seat trying to drive away. However, just then, An Yiqing suddenly turned her head towards him, revealing a strange smile.
Newt was scared out of his wits and hurriedly tried to twist the car key with trembling hands. However, An Yiqing’s actions were much faster than his. Newt only felt his vision blur, and An Yiqing was already standing outside the car door smiling.
"Ghost, ghost!"
In the dead of night, a woman with a strange smile inexplicably appeared outside the car window, smiling at you with bright-colored lips and white teeth. Anyone would be terrified to the point of weakness. Newt was so frightened his teeth were chattering, wanting to step on the gas but finding his legs unable to move.
The car door opened with a "pop," like a deathly incantation. Newt’s eyes widened in horror as a beautifully stunning slender hand reached for his neck and then dragged him out.
Just like that, Newt Durant was dragged from the car to the alley like a dead dog by An Yiqing. Zhang Yufeng had already neatly handled all the men, turning them into a pool of sewage with Corpse-Dissolving Liquid. They should not exist in this world for having those disgusting thoughts towards Miss.
Newt didn’t understand why things had turned out this way. Everything was going according to plan, so why did this woman have such skills?
With a "thud," Newt was thrown to the ground. The alley was pitch dark, resembling a path leading to Hell, sending chills down one’s heart. The ghastly moonlight enveloped An Yiqing, highlighting her face with a strange smile that chilled Newt’s heart.
"What do you want? I’m from the Durant family, have you heard of it, the Durant family! Princess Edith’s father’s family!" Newt retreated step by step, watching An Yiqing in horror.
An Yiqing didn’t spare him a glance; with such trifling talents, he dared to come out for revenge. If the Durant family ever fell, who knows into how many pieces they’d be split.
"I won’t kill you, relax, don’t be afraid," An Yiqing said with a smile.
Relax my ass! Newt cursed inwardly, the more warmly An Yiqing smiled, the less assured he felt.
"Mr. Newt Durant, I have something I’d like you to help with," An Yiqing said as she walked over slowly, circling around Newt once, "I’m very interested in the Durant family, so I need you to assist inside and out."
Very interested?! Newt’s eyes widened; if he guessed her intentions, this woman wanted to topple the Durant family?!
"Impossible! That’s not doable!" Newt exclaimed, retreating repeatedly until his back hit the corner wall, watching An Yiqing warily.
An Yiqing smiled, appearing somewhat eerie under the deep dark night, "Not doable?"
Suddenly, her figure flickered, appearing before Newt in the blink of an eye. Before Newt could cry out, she grabbed his chin with one hand and stuffed a pill into his mouth with the other. With a slap on his back, Newt involuntarily swallowed the pill.
"Cough, cough! What did you feed me?! Damn it!" Newt hurriedly tried to use his hand to gag, wanting to spit the pill out.
An Yiqing watched him leisurely, "Stop gagging, the pill will dissolve once it reaches the throat. By now, it’s probably seeped into your internal organs, becoming one with you."
Newt was shocked, with a bad premonition rising in his heart, "What exactly do you want?"
An Yiqing didn’t answer his question, saying faintly, "Just now, the pill I gave you was a poison I refined myself. My medical arts, I presume Mr. Newt has heard of. That poison was made from sixteen types of deadly substances, and besides me, no one in this world can cure it. Mr. Newt, I don’t want your life. As long as you obediently listen to me, I promise you’ll get an antidote every month. Of course, you can also choose not to cooperate with me, and the consequences you can imagine. Of course, maybe you don’t believe me. Tomorrow marks the first day of the poison’s effect; I hope you have a pleasant experience."
Saying this, she tossed a card in front of Newt, "Here’s my phone number, if you’ve thought it through, you can contact me. Oh, by the way, those men are already in Hell. Mr. Newt, the cleanup work still needs your attention. Farewell."
Newt sat paralyzed on the ground, staring blankly at the card before him. An Yiqing’s footsteps grew farther away, the car engine starting, gradually driving off into the distance. The alley was deserted, and after quite a while, Newt finally awoke from the nightmare. He stood up, leaning against the wall as he slowly moved forward. After a moment, he suddenly stopped. Turning around, he bent down and picked up the business card on the ground.
