Upon hearing that characteristic sound, Aziz felt a thrill of excitement run through his body.
’System... I have a system,’ he thought, ecstatic.
[Yes, Aziz. You do. Feel honored.]
The slightly presumptuous tone of the voice in his mind caught him by surprise. After all, in the novels he read, systems always sounded much more robotic and cold.
Noticing that her son had frozen for a few seconds, Astrid approached, concerned.
"Darling, did something happen?"
Snapping out of his brief trance, Aziz replied:
"Nothing, Mom. I’m fine. I was just surprised by a strange energy coursing through my body," he said, deciding to keep the system a secret, at least for now.
"All right then. Let’s continue the training."
Astrid then began explaining the basic principles of mana manipulation.
