Chapter 796 - 795: Thousand Charms and Hundred Flirts
Hundred Herbs Hall is the largest elixir pharmacy in Capital City, and it is also established by the Joyful Sect of the Ten Major Sects.
The Joyful Sect, a sect that emphasizes the yin and yang of heaven and earth, is both mysterious and powerful. In the Dragon Gate World, no one considers the dual cultivation of men and women as something shameful, and thus, the Joyful Sect, albeit not very prominent, still receives a lot of support, even to the point where many young men and women dream of joining it.
The Joyful Sect has a Dan King who has nurtured numerous promising alchemy protégés, and they concoct elixirs daily. Besides supplying the sect, they also sell or exchange some elixirs to gather more exotic treasures to craft even more elixirs.
When Yusuf Zuck entered the Hundred Herbs Hall, it was as crowded as a sea of people within its three-story building. The coming and going throngs were akin to a busy marketplace; some carried various herbs, some held strange flowers and unusual fruits, and others wrapped their rare treasures in black cloth, fearful of them being seen by others.
The first floor had the accounts room for settlements, weighmen, and many male and female shop attendants. The counters also displayed all sorts of exquisite small porcelain bottles with the name of the elixirs written on them, and there were simple introductions beneath them.
When Zuck entered, nobody gave him a second glance – there were simply too many people inside. Zuck knew the first floor was where the action was, so he squeezed his way towards the second floor.
However, the second floor was still bustling with noise, and though there were fewer people than on the ground floor, it still felt like a marketplace.
Zuck walked around the counters, closely observing the elixir bottles within. He noticed that most of the bottles were empty, similar to a mobile phone store in the secular world where only dummy models are displayed, not the actual devices. Here, only the names and descriptions of the elixirs were on display, but the elixirs were not inside the counters!
If they weren’t in the counters, then they must be hidden somewhere else – perhaps on the third floor above, or underground here. Of course, there’s also a chance they could be kept within the Storage Magical Treasures guarded here. But this possibility was very small, after all, Space Treasures were scarce throughout the Mainland.
Zuck made a round, then continued upstairs along the staircase. However, before he reached the third floor, he saw two guardian figures standing at the entrance, both wielding swords and both with Nascent Soul cultivation levels.
