Ruth Wilcox did not press Yusuf Zuck for details, because she had long known that he was out of the ordinary.
However, she did kindly remind him of some things to be cautious about.
The two chatted in the room for less than half an hour before Ruth Wilcox was called away by a phone call from her secretary’s desk. She was indeed busy, having just taken over the big venture of New Century, and was working hard on every aspect of the business.
Yusuf’s original intention was to have dinner with her that evening, but she claimed she needed to go to Tianjin in the afternoon and might not be able to return by night.
However, before they parted, Yusuf also made a call to Fleur Carson, asking Fleur to report to New Century later on.
Ruth Wilcox did not object; she trusted the people Yusuf arranged for her.

After parting ways in the room, Yusuf quickly headed to the parking lot, where Raelyn Petty was still waiting in the car.

Floyd Hart was still hospitalized because his injuries were too severe. Others like Wumao had been discharged, but he remained in the hospital.
