When Ember Vance went out with her gun, the supervisor leader of the sub-bureau happened to enter the courtyard, catching her red-handed, and the sub-bureau leader had also brought another colleague from the sub-bureau’s criminal police team. As only a precinct chief, Ember Vance was bound by the rules to comply, and thus she handed over the case files of the New Era case.
Of course, she knew that it was not the time to hand over the documents, as doing so would mean big trouble for Yusuf Zuck. Therefore, she quickly claimed that the case officer had gone home after work and that she would call them to come over.
The call didn’t go through because the other party’s phone was turned off, and Ember Vance then stated again that it was too late and that she would personally deliver the files to them the next morning.
The colleague from the other party did not press too hard. After all, it was already night, and there was not much they could do with the files. Besides, this little precinct chief Ember was easy to talk to and even offered to deliver the files personally, so they greeted her and left.
Ember Vance walked around the precinct yard a couple of times, then went back to the office, grabbed the files, and headed to a certain residential complex. This complex was where the bureau’s Director Long lived, and she wanted to find him and leave the files there.

However, once outside, they were shocked to find that all four tires of their Land Rover were flat, having been punctured.
