Chapter 292: Yusuf Zuck Was Caught
Yusuf Zuck believed he was justified. It was just that he had beaten up two petty thugs who had broken into the place with knives. Moreover, the police did not restrain him or handcuff him when they first arrived on the scene.
However, shortly after the two thugs were taken away by the ambulance, before they even reached the hospital, the officer who had arrived to respond to the call received a phone call. Then he handcuffed Yusuf Zuck, who was at the clinic being questioned, and took him away for suspected aggravated assault.
Paisley Kirk couldn’t escape involvement either and was taken back to the station as well, of course, she wasn’t handcuffed, just cooperating with the investigation.
Yusuf Zuck felt that something was off, but before long, the lawyer sent by Marlon Shepherd would arrive at the police station, and he would have a lawyer to negotiate with the police.
After arriving at Unity Road police station, Yusuf Zuck was locked in an interrogation room and sat on a chair designed to restrain prisoners, with his hands and feet both tightly cuffed.
Yusuf Zuck didn’t resist or shout, because as long as the police were conducting a normal investigation, he had no reason to make trouble.
Shackled in the station for a full hour, his phone and wallet were confiscated. During that hour, he didn’t see the so-called lawyer, nor did anyone come to question him.
When lunchtime came around, someone entered the interrogation room and unlocked his handcuffs, handing him a boxed lunch and a bottle of water, signaling him to eat his meal.
"Officer, why are you handcuffing me like this? What does it mean?" Yusuf Zuck didn’t eat, but instead frowned, as he still didn’t know what was going on.
"Just wait. Someone will come to question you in the afternoon. But kid, you’re pretty something, huh? You just got out of a case of illegal detention, and now, aggravated assault. Also, you have quite a record..."
