Chapter 212: The Retaliation Begins
People from the Las Vegas Gaming Guild arrived around eleven o’clock at night, and immediately upon their arrival, they went straight to the agreed-upon warehouse.
Six people in total, one of them a woman, the same Chinese woman from the four Queens that Yusuf Zuck had met, while the other five were all dressed as security guards in black.
Before they entered the warehouse, as per procedure, they were searched, and all their weapons were taken.
They were there to meet Yusuf Zuck, of course, but only for the four hundred million US dollars in Yusuf’s possession.
In the warehouse, there were more than twenty gunmen with live nuclear rounds, bolts already chambered. Maurice Singleton sat on the warehouse couch, lightly sipping red wine, and besides him, Yusuf Zuck was not there.
"Did you bring the money?" Maurice Singleton spoke three languages, English, Spanish, and Chinese. At this moment, he was speaking Spanish.
"We did." The Chinese woman replied in Spanish as well, then signaled the security guards behind her to hand over the cash suitcases to Maurice Singleton’s men—four suitcases in total.
"The Guild values Mr. Singleton’s takeover of Juarez highly, so the additional one million US dollars is a greeting gift for Mr. Singleton. However... where is the Chinese man?" The Chinese woman looked indifferently at Maurice Singleton since the Chinese man was not there.
"Oh, an extra million, very good, very good. I’ll accept it then," Maurice Singleton said with a smile, nodding, signaling his men to take the four suitcases. Then he stood up and said, "He will be brought over later. I have things to do; please wait a moment." After finishing his words, he walked out.
However, the moment the warehouse’s iron door closed, a barrage of gunfire erupted inside, and the Chinese woman and her five guards were taken out by Maurice Singleton without knowing what hit them.
