Book 9: Chapter 29: The Inquisition
After Alucard’s body completely shattered, he turned into a blood mist for the second time in this battle. However, in this icy world, the blood mist could hardly gather again. Also, because he had lost most of his soul power, the blood mist was much thinner than before.
“It’s over!” Qin Lun sighed and raised the Forbidden Scissors in his hand. Since the blood mist could not condense in a short time, with his speed, he only needed a few seconds to completely cut it apart and kill Alucard for good.
…
“Monsters, have you made your prayers before death? The Lord will forgive your sins, amen!”
Just as Qin Lun was rushing towards Alucard, a deep prayer came from the swirling wind and snow. A sharp gust of wind broke through the heavy blockade of ice and snow, heading straight for the back of his head.
Qin Lun’s heart stirred. He tilted his head slightly and blocked the back of his neck with the Forbidden Scissors. “Ding!” The scissors immediately deflected a long, thin black shadow without delay.
“A dinner knife?” Looking at the black shadow that was deflected and stuck into the ice at an angle, Qin Lun could not help but raise an eyebrow. At the same time, a tall figure slowly walked out from the dense snow.
“Who’s there?” Qin Lun asked warily, feeling a bit surprised inside. With his Perception, he only noticed the person when they had gotten this close.
“A servant of God needs no name. If you wish to offer your final prayers to me, you may call me Father Anderson!” The shadow stepped out from the snow onto the ice. It was indeed a tall man wearing a white coat and black priest robes.
