Chapter 731. Sabrina Left
Sabrina only stayed at the castle for a few days before she decided to return home. Mauve offered to see her to the door, but there was no way Jael would let her do that all by herself, so he was right beside her as she stood in front of the doors, ready to send Sabrina off.
"Thank you for your hospitality," Sabrina said with a curtsy.
"Don’t mention it," Mauve replied with glee. "It was our pleasure." Jael simply grunted; not once had he said actual words to Sabrina.
"Take care of yourself, my lady, and if perhaps you might require my help, do not hesitate to send for me," Sabrina offered.
Jael’s expression immediately darkened at this and worried that he might say something mean to Sabrina again, Mauve quickly cut in. "I will, and I wish you a safe trip home."
Sabrina smiled and started down the stairs after another curtsy. "Bye," Mauve called out, waving her hand a little too hard as she watched Sabrina walk off. Sabrina lifted her hand and waved back to Mauve.
"That’s enough," Jael said and immediately started to pull her inside the castle.
Mauve didn’t protest. She had been surprised he had been willing to let her step out of the castle just to see Sabrina off. It was just a little after the first meal, which meant Mauve still had the whole night to herself. She wasn’t sure what she planned to do yet, but she doubted it would involve Jael.
"Your room?" he asked.
"Nope, the library. I am supposed to meet Louis there. I am sure he is already waiting for me."
Jael’s eyes narrowed. "What are you always doing in the library with Louis? At this point, you must have finished reading all the books there with the amount of time you spend in there with him."
