Chapter 730. I am not Angry
By the time Mauve was ready to leave Sabrina’s room, she was mentally exhausted. Sabrina was a whirlwind that never stopped, and all she did was tease Mauve about the question she had asked without answering it. However, Mauve didn’t press further. If there was indeed someone Sabrina was interested in, she didn’t think the vampire would have any problem getting them.
"Are you sure you don’t want me to see you off to your room?" Sabrina offered as she walked Mauve to the door of her bedroom.
"There is no need for that. Besides, I won’t be going to my bedroom. I want to go see Jael."
Mauve watched Sabrina visibly shrink at the mention of Jael. Was she that scared of him? Mauve couldn’t help the frown that appeared on her face. Was it because Jael was scary, or did Sabrina have a reason to be afraid of him? Mauve quickly squashed the thought. All the talk of trust was making her paranoid.
"Oh, okay. I will see you at the last meal then, and tell the Primus I won’t stay long. I am sure he is very displeased about my presence."
"No, he is not. He’s just cautious. I promise that you can stay as long as you want; you don’t have to rush away. You only just got here."
"Thank you, my lady," Sabrina said as she opened the door.
"I should be the one thanking you," Mauve smiled and slipped through the door.
"Bye," Sabrina said.
Mauve replied with a bye of her own just as the door shut behind her. She smiled at the door. It was almost time for her walk. Jael should be returning to the castle any time now; if she went to her room, he wouldn’t notice she had left it.
"I was looking for you."
