Chapter 122. Lord Levaton’s Castle
Mauve couldn’t stop gawking as they stopped in front of the huge gates. He had finally slowed and she had been curious about why. Only to open her eyes to the huge gates.
"We are here," he said stiffly.
Mauve nodded. She could tell, the huge gates were more than enough indication. The huge dark gate suddenly swung inwards. It started to split in the middle and Mauve could only stare in awe.
From what she could see, the fences around were pretty high and in more proper shape than the fence around Jael’s castle. She squinted her eyes. The gates opened completely and they walked in.
"I can walk," she whispered to Jael but he pretended not to hear her. She sighed and let him carry her.
The first thing that she noticed as soon as they stepped in was the trees. Huge trees on both sides of the path. It looked more like an orchard and then trees for decoration.
She couldn’t really see what fruits were on the trees as she wasn’t close enough but she could smell something citrus. The path was pretty big and the trees were on the far end of both sides.
Guard rushed to them as they walked in. They bowed as soon as they got close enough. They took the bags from Damon and tried to take Mauve off his hands but he glared at them and they backed off.
The castle was huge but it wasn’t as big as Jael’s, however, it was definitely in more proper shape. There were flower bushes lined in the front and they looked recently trimmed.
Mauve wanted to go in for a close look but a certain vampire wouldn’t let her go. She thought she saw houses behind the castle but couldn’t be sure neither could she really see anything.
They stopped in front of the Levaton’s house and the doors were immediately thrown open. "Sire!" A loud voice said standing in front of the open doors.
