Heaven-Defying Rebel Sage

The tale speaks of three Buddhas who had received the Buddhist Law from Amitabha Buddha and headed toward Water Curtain Cave to destroy the Ten Thousand Immortals Formation and eliminate members of the Demon Tribe.

On their journey, Mana Accomplished Buddha spoke, "This Ten Thousand Immortals Formation was devised by the Tong Tian Sect Master in ancient times and is extremely formidable. Shen Bao has only grasped its surface, not much of its essence. Even so, it’s not something that ordinary people can break through. Thankfully, we know the mysteries within it and have received a magical treasure from Amitabha Buddha. Breaking this formation should not be difficult."

Filled with joy, Dingguang Delighted Buddha sneered, "Tathagata was once the chief disciple under Tong Tian Sect Master but failed to learn the method to arrange this formation, naturally, he couldn’t break it. This time, as we break the formation, it will be like slapping him hard. Heh heh!"

Ma Yuan Honored King Buddha also laughed, "Dingguang Delighted Buddha is absolutely right. Tathagata, relying on his esteemed position of governing the age, now acts arrogantly. This time, Spiritual Mount has been left crippled by the Demon Tribe, becoming a joke throughout the Three Realms. As we break this formation and send those devils to the Deification Platform, Tathagata will have no face left; he will have to relinquish his esteemed position, won’t he?"

Mana Accomplished Buddha thought to himself, "Even if Tathagata relinquishes his position, it’s not yours!"

Each of the three harbored their own schemes, all coveting Tathagata’s esteemed position of governing the age. They kept their thoughts to themselves.

Soon, the trio had arrived within the territory of Water Curtain Cave.

Now at Water Curtain Cave, every bush and tree was a soldier; the place never rested for a moment. Over a hundred Great Luo Golden Immortals controlled the inside of the Ten Thousand Immortals Formation effortlessly, able to maintain it indefinitely, even for thousands of years.

Among the three, Mana Accomplished Buddha possessed the deepest cultivation and had reached the Realm of Primordial Golden Immortal.

Since the former life of Mana Accomplished Buddha, when he was captured by Zhun Ti as Wu Yun Immortal and refused to submit, he was thrown into the Eight Treasures Merit Pool. Wu Yun Immortal had some fortune; the Holy Mother was confined in the pool by Zhun Ti but was sucked dry by Mosquito Taoist, and ultimately faced her fate at the Deification Platform. However, Wu Yun Immortal realized the Primordial Dao Fruit within and was taken out by Zhun Ti, then placed under Amitabha Buddha and titled Mana Accomplished Buddha.

Both Dingguang Delighted Buddha and Ma Yuan Honored King Buddha were at the Great Luo Golden Immortal Realm, less fortunate than Mana Accomplished Buddha, having not realized the Primordial Dao Fruit, but they possessed magical treasures given by Amitabha Buddha and thus were confident.
